I sincerely hope he does not end up being a festival hero

He is too good an actor to be wasted only in docu drama's and other esoteric movies.

But on the other hand I also feel there is no director on the scene right now who can exploit talents like these effectively therefore we have a catch 22.

Breath of fresh air
by Bhanurekha Ganesan on Jun 06, 2012 07:14 PM

Reading about Nawazuddin Siddiqui is such a breath of fresh air. I feel so rejuvenated at the thought of people like him making it in Indian Cinema. None of the star-kids would ever be able to do this kind of work. It is good to see that talent and dedication can break those barriers. It is refreshing to hear that he respects the audience and that he wants to make sure to hold himself to a higher bar. Good luck to him in all his endeavours.
