Why not raising the root cause behind this?
by Mittal Shukla on Jun 08, 2012 04:05 PM

The root cause of this problem are politicians who never wanted a good health care in villages, they allowed private medical colleges to flourish. 70% of private medical colleges are ran by politicians but no one want to raise voice againest them. Most of the private medical colleges are in 4 states - Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil nadu.... comprising 80% of the Private medical colleges in India. Now the question is why Politicians not wanted to open many more Govt colleges? Answer is simple.... If there are more govt colleges than their business will be ruined as less number of students admitted in their private medical colleges.
If we have to improve healthcare in our country than there will be no private medical colleges in our country. And all these colleges replaced by govt colleges so that people get free treatment in govt hospitals & colleges...

i Dr Sanjay Nagral,
None of your point are convincing. i try to explain you why
First, the show 'exaggerated' the extent of unethical practice in the profession.
It's not exaggerated as you see only at from your point but 80% are victims of this Doctors's practice.
Second, it showed only the 'bad' side of the profession, not the 'good'.
This show is orgainised By Amir Khan for showcasing rampant like (Feticide etc), It's not Advertisement
that Amir should tell about doctor's Dedication and significance.(We all know importance of Doctors and
Amir himself naratted that there are some good doctors also...)
Amir is just trying that if we could reduce some percntage of this type of actvities through this show.
Third, "There were those who wanted to know why doctors are being targeted when the entire society is corrupt"
You mean to say If doctors are doing that then first Amir should remove all Other rampant then This issue
should raise in the end! because this belongs to your profession? how ridcoulous is that inspite of clapping
for Amir you just want that Nobody should target us.
Fourth,
Who is Aamir Khan to pontificate about service to the poor when he charges crores of rupees for the show?
So you mean If amir are not paid, then he is eligible to pontificate?
Why you all doctors don't want to practice in villages becuase you want earn money? that's why Government
rule came into picture "

wit my numerous encounters at big hospitals for my parents, i finally decided to educate myself, about my parent's illness, cause, pathological tests ect before encountering" sukhi lalaas"(chracter in film:mother india) in big hospitals.. and learnt it hard way after my mother went thru a 'not at all required operation '(for wch shes still suffering) , that i shd always go for 2-3 different medical opinions before decidin on any operation. one has to know a bit of their 'vidya' before surrendering.....characters of "sukhi baniya' and illitrate 'birju' of magnum opus 'mother india' is still relevent in these times.... ‎'i ve even given money to docs of some big hospitals in delhi for getting medical reimbursement bill signed, as a common man felt helpless,, .. the truth must prevail..... 'satyamev jayate'...!!

Thank you for explaining it so well Dr. Nagral
by Dharini Bhammar on Jun 07, 2012 01:19 PM

I really liked the show. The more time i spent in hospitals in Mumbai... the more disillusioned I felt regarding the whole system. I hated everything about it. So much so that whenever I came across honest, competent and intelligent doctors.. I would make it a point to tell all my friends and family. In fact, I had a list of "trustworthy" doctors that I referred to whenever someone asked me for a referral.
People may say that Aamir Khan is doing this show for the rating, for attention or for stimulating interest in a future movie release.. but I think that there are definitely ignorant people out there who need to question their doctors decisions more. That way they can avoid unnecessary tests, procedures, medications and surgeries.
I am so glad I became a doctor... I can now direct the healthcare for everyone that I care about and I know they will never undergo unnecessary procedures. My motto in life is.. Do the research, ask the right questions and make informed decisions. Its your body and its your life.

Actually aamir war targetting gov indirectly
by Reshma Reddy on Jun 07, 2012 10:07 AM

What ever Aamir shown in this show was true... even i have experienced something like this in bangalore.....
Come on guys be mature,, this show is meant to show the issues happening in india...

He even said why doctors are doing like thise because they are paying for their seats.... gov is behind of all these things.....

We need to revolt against the politicians not against the shows.....

Obviously its his profession he is charging for his show... we should appriciate that he is not doing some silly game show like eating earthworms and making ppl drink ppls siliva...

He is doing some sensible show.....

Shut down the mafia organization called IMA
by The Democracy on Jun 07, 2012 01:52 AM

If a doctor intentionally treats patients wrong for money then the doctor is a criminal. If IMA supports such criminals, then IMA is a mafia organization that protects and helps criminals. Public needs to sue and shut down the mafia organizations like IMA to save lives of Indians.
