A natural actor who could play any part and make it believable. His participation in off-beats films during the 70's and 80's are absolute gems and can still be watched by the current generation. He along with Om puri are wonderful actors who have not been paid their dues in Indian cinema yet. Anyway, Happy Birthday to Nasser sir.

So what? Hypocrisy runs in our blood? BTW Naseerudin shah is very blunt about y he works in commercial movies or even art movies too nowadays, for money. He says he exploits bollywood, theatre is his true love. I wonder if u ever heard of an art form named "theatre"

What dues. Is it an easy thing to survive in industry for more than 20 years and they are still getting work. We all know they have unconventional looks so they can't become star. They both got recognition and work and still getting it when role is suitable for them.

You folks seem to have misunderstood me. What I meant by not getting his due is that, he is still underrated in Indian cinema and has not received the level of recognition he deserves. I guess it's partly due to the nature of movies he was associated with earlier in his career. These movies were art movies with social messages, not masala movies orientated films which appealed to larger section of audience.
