Umm, you have failed to mention numerous films of Nasseruddin Shah, which are not only brilliant films but also socially relevant. Khandhar, the quirky crime drama; The perfect murder, Ardh Satya, Katha, Monsson Weeding, Khamosh, Paar and many more. Lastly, his body of work is praise worthy and displays how versatile of an actor he is. Happy Birthday.
Actor. It's not easy to shift from art movies to commercial and that too with success. He worked with legends like Gulzar, Vishal Bhardwaj, Shekhar Kapur, Subhash Ghai,J.P.Dutta, Sai Paranjpye,Govind Nihalani,Shyam Benegal list is endless. Won 3 filmfare( Though deserve more) 3 National awards and Padma Pushan. Still some people are saying his not getting his dues when he has 3 movies in pipeline.

He was best in PAAR - he won the National Award for PAAR. How come Rediff misses the one which won him National award and international recognition even in Berlin Film Festival
