Oh, no ! You are mistaken !
Many Indians are under the innocent impression that the whole of Yale University's attention is glued to what the Indian actor and his audience are doing there !
If you look carefully, you can notice even in these Indian news reports that almost everyone of those attending the actor's show is an Indian/South Asian !!
For your information, Yale has 38 halls/convention centres where some show goes on almost right through the year. Apart from the majority of these shows being native American/English by nature, there are shows by the Chinese, Korean, German, French, Russian, Spanish, even Nigerian, Egyptian, Mexican, Indonesian and numerous other communities !
Indians back home may imagine that an Indian show at Yale or any other top US university will be the cynosure of all eyes but that is hardly so.
In fact, top US universities are also known as supplementary UNs !!

when the Dean of yale himself is dancing to Sharukh's tune. What more honour can we expect ? stop being skeptical always becoz its an indian show by an indian on a foreign land.

Please check with any alumnus of Yale or with any alumnus from anyone of several top US universities !
I am an alumnus of the Arizona State Univ. and I know what I am talking about !
If a big section of humanity thinks it is an honour for their idol to be invited and entertained by a US univ., then that proves this section's ignorance about similar 'honours' accorded to a hundred different communities in American universities !
They (American) are not corrupt indian government and they are doing their duty by detained Shahrukh Khan. Who is Shahrukh? He is an actor not doing any social service. His trip for america is purely business developemnet. Why he wants to be status of VIP as Ex president of Abdul Kalam. This corrupt India Government has given VIP status to Kasab and all Actors , Actresses & sportsman and not looking after their own general citizens and ignored their internal security but immediately reacted if any rich person and their (Indian) so-called VIP's got any checking treatment. The Indian Government treating shahrukh etc. as superstar is their headic not the headic of America. How many indian are facing imbrassment by refusal of UK , USA visa can India Governmnet learn any lesson. Why they refused visa? Because they treated indian as beggers? Why ? Because Indian Government does not care /respect their own citizens. They are not developing India and we (Indian) have no option to face insult always because of this corrupt government and political systems. Why government objected on Shahrukh issue I don't understand. It is their (America) security system and they are doing their best and let them do their duty. Don't interfare in their security system and improve your security system like america. They (American)are not Indian who alleged other Pakistan etc. always after every attack.

Really, you have no idea how big a phenomenon SRK is. Throughout Europe, US, Canada, several Africa countries. Bollywood is the biggest dream destination for non-white, brown races who are not depicted in Hollywood films.
