person who drives vehicle in drunk state and killing innocents on road, should be given severe penalty, kept in jail for longer punishment. But salman is rich so he escaped and people calling salman heart is big.
India should enace and enforce strong legislation against drunken drivers. As in U.S. we should hold drunken driver responsible and file a charge against him/her for vehicular manslaughter and punish accordingly, if convicted. Hopefully this will redduce these types of accidents.

we should abolish the drinking itself. if drinking and driving exit, people will mix it up occasionally. simply preaching will not help...

because people are bound to gt hold of liquor illegally - case point Gujrat, Banning is never a solution, holding people severely accountable for their actions is a solution.

banning per se is not a solution, but implement it strictly n see the results. yes, gujarat has relatively less crime compared to other states, thanks to prohibition

if it is in middle east, driver get death penalty or life long imprisonment unless the victims family forgiven them.

The penalty for drunken driving (forget accidents, just being caught behind the wheels drunk) is not severe as it is in US. First they should make it strict

rediff is doing its job. it will ask a question, WHY this and that can't be done and then answer it in a meaningless article and some fulls will fight on that meaningless topic..
This is a worse country there is no responsibility of government for their CITIZENS. The Government has been celebrating Sachin's 100 century and are so busy with the scams and does not have time to look after poor & needy citizens. Government can award any amount of money to sachin for playing cricket but not ready to give any help directly needy citizens. Why Shahrukh Khan will help to Charu and Vikrant? What the use of help? He will give help to some strongest person and why we asked help from shahrukh? Where is the Government? Why government will not help to its citizens? Why we elect and vote for government? What is the use of this parliament? They (Politicians) are making money from poor people for their use doing scams everyday and taking bribe. Sick / Accidented / Hungry / Needy / Jobless people should leave this country otherwise died like Charu and Vikrant. Jai Ho corrupt Congress and BJP ki.
