It is unkind to give a rating of 2 1/2 stars just because your expectation from Blessy is overrated. Compare the movie with other movies being released and it deserves at least a 4 star rating. Hats off to Anupam Kher, Jayaprada, who play their characters to a T. You dont even make out that these are non-malayalam actors. Mohan Lal's character is made just right for him. All in all it is well told, an enjoyable movie which projects the so-called broad-mindedness of the younger generation who are finding it difficult to accept the maturity of the older generation. The handicap is it is more of an urban story which the rural Kerala may not find touching their chords but would strike a chord with the NRKs.

This is a paali poya review Mr. Paalicha. The movie is really fantastic. Except some flashback scenes ( the teenage romance of achyutha menon and grace), the movie has its class.Even in that scenes, satish kurup and blessy did well. (We can forget about the colour of the steam engine train..... :). Hats of to Lalettan, anupam Kher, Jayapradha and Anoop Menon for their apt performances. One more request: Don't kill a gud movie with these kind of reviews.

realy?? this is wat u called a classic.. this movie definitely lacks its so called soul.. i m nt biased to any actors.. my definition of classic may b different frm u.. i might say the cinematography is excellent.. script sucks.. and dubbing below average.. this is just an 'OK' movie...
Don't be biased when you write review. Pranayam is a movie with substance which is crafted with utmost perfection. Being a slow movie, the box office prospects may be not so encouraging,for which the so called fans are to be blamed. Keralites cry that there are no good movies made lately and when a good movie comes people are not there to watch and unscrupulous critics like palicha degrades the movie. shame..
