Though I am a fan of surya , this looks like a flop for me. A chinese conspiracy , Shruti doing medical miracles ..injecting the dna of Bodhi to surya ...Surya gaining martial art skilss thru DNa....does not look to be hit...

Please dont compare with Velayudham.Velayudham is mix of vettaikaran , sura and kuruvi..A super duper flop
Science says, only the physical charecteristics of one's anscestor passes down thru one's DNA... Assassin creed brought an imaginary concept like a part of our DNA acts as an archive containing our anscestors memory.....Obviously they've copied? it.....
7 am arivu will rock as Suriya is said to chose his movie with appealing script. This movie will rock as it has a perfect combination of creators. All the best ARM and Suriya. Will watch it first day first show.

Rightly said and moreover suriya looks so aged and jaded. He signs films only if there is a change in get up. Only works with hit directors and harris jayraj plus he has barely 5-6 hits in his 26 film career out of which can be touted as an all time hits.

what a joke!!! Surya has 14 hits in his 25 movie career unlike his contemporaries who have 15-20 hits in their 50 movie careers!! Surya is a hit machine.. The only tamil actor in past 2 decades who has had 5 hits in a row!!

Rajni included hasnt given 5 continuous hits in the past 2 decades... check your facts and try to list out 5 continuous hits of Rajni!! You will not find it...
There are hardly any heroes in the whole country who can boast of 5 continuous hits!!

After Sivaji Ganesan and Kamal Haasan, the only promising actor with both Mass and Class Appeal is Surya. VAranam Ayiram, Ayan, Singham are his recent blockbusters.APart from that even Vel and Aadhavan brought in big profits for the producers. In today's market, after Rajini and Kamal, only Surya's movies get sold on the first day of announcing.

VA was not a hit.Asdhavan was a flop thought he songs were hits. Dude Vijay has a huge market abroad and has a fan following next only to Rajni.

Singham, Aadhavan, Ayan, Vaaranam Aayiram and Vel were all hits unlike his contemporaries who struggle to give 2 hits in a row!!

I never thought that "kannagi nagar" in d outskirts of Chennai is abroad... Vijay's presence is only in tamilnadu and few parts of Kerala... That too among B and C audience...
Surya,Vikram and Ajith have acted in Hindi movies... Noone outside Tamilnadu knows about Vijay....

Dude, its a rip of "Why bodhidarman left for the east?". This ARM is a copy cat, it was a fluke tat ghajini did well...Velayudham is gonna rock at the box office this diwali.
Re: Re: Re: What for

Yes, copied from Anniyan and Vijay looks like a comedy actor in that role with raincoat and sword on his back :-) one really hope he doesn't get himself wounded when he puts the sword back on his stand :-)
Vijay has zero mass appeal. All his movies have flopped in the last 3 years. Kuruvi, ATM, Villu, Vettaikaran are flops. Kavalan was an average hit. Even the profits made by Surya's average movie Adhavan are much higher than Vijai's blockbuster movie revenues. The hottest stars with great mass appeal, next to Kamal and Rajini are Suriya and Ajith Kumar only.

You can't compare Surya with Vijay's Mass... In terms of openings Velayudham will get more than 7am arivu..
Re: Re: Surya will win as usual
by vijay karthik on Oct 18, 2011 05:16 PM
No way. Vijay's movies have been having pathetic openings in the last 3 years. Villu first day night show was not even 75% occupied in Chennai. And even his hit Kavalan did not attract crowds.
Re: Surya will win as usual
by karthiksubbu on Oct 18, 2011 05:11 PM
He he he .....wat a joke. Vijay is touted as the next superstar of Tamil film industry. ATM was an above avg grosser and so was Vettaikaran. Kuruvi was an avg grosser as per the tweet by udayanidhi stalin. The only movie which didn't do well as expected was Sura though the songs and comedy were huge hits...And u talk abt Ajith? He has only one hit in the last 6 years.
Re: Re: Surya will win as usual
by vijay karthik on Oct 18, 2011 05:15 PM
ATM and Kuruvi avg? both made huge losses. and Villu was a disaster. Vijay cant make a movie run even if he stands upside down.

Go and check with the distributors and exhibitors. Every Vijay in Bangalore runs for aminimum of 3-5 weeks whereas the so called hit "Mankatha" ran only for 2 weeks in Sri Balaji, a prominent theatre for tamil films in Bangalore.

Hello boss,,, we own a theatre in madurai and i know exactly what every film collects as per t trade,,..
Kuruvi, ATM were above average collectors,,, while vettaikaran was a super hit giving a lot of profits to all...but it was shown as a flop by sun pics as they had a spat...
Re: Re: Re: Re: Surya will win as usual
by SX on Oct 18, 2011 07:02 PM
Kaavalan - Above Average; Sura - Average; Vettaikaaran - Above Average, Villu - Average; Kuruvi - Average; ATM - Below Average; This is the track record of Vijay after Pokkiri's super hit status!! Your comparing him with Surya who has had 5 hits in a row!!
7 Am Arivu is a 84 crores budget movie unlike Velaayudham's 45 crores!! That shows the confidence in Surya's success from the producer...
Re: Re: Surya will win as usual
by SX on Oct 18, 2011 07:04 PM
Even Simbhu says Im the next superstar!! Does that make them Rajni by any stretch of imagination!!
Re: Re: Re: Surya will win as usual
by chappathi on Oct 26, 2011 02:08 AM
Thatz true. These self-proclaimed superstars and his fans didn't realize that Rajni was a good actor first doing variety of roles before the fans bestowed him the Super star title. But that is not the case with these two idiots Vijay and Chimpu; they don't have any originality and just copy the way Rajni acted as a Super Star....these guys are living in a dream that by repeating Rajni’s “SuperStar” formula they can also become super stars. They are just supra stars and not super stars...the fans of these two guys are the dumbest living beings I have seen on planet earth :-)
