legends are people who influence generations directly or indirectly.....amitabh bachchan has inspired an entire generation of people by his immaculate personality, dedication to work,talent and success...if u look carefully at the personalities of people between 1970 and 1990...you would see a bit of amitabh bachchan in almost every north indian man....something similar to shahrukh's impact on the youth after 1990's....people like amitabh may not have had any direct social impact but they have a huge unseen social impact which affects daily life of every citizen....you don't get such personalities too often...so if anyone deserves bharat ratna...its him
If Bharat Ratna can be given to Lataji who ruled over the hearts of millions for so many decades based on her talent and popularity, then BIGB too comes under this category...No one comes close to BIGB interms of talent and popularity from past 4 decades whether its small screen or big screen...
I support Lataji as she is the one who can think better about who deserves Bharat ratna
if at all it is Dr Swaminathan and Dr Kurien who deserve Bharat Ratna more than anyone else for making India self reliant in rice, wheat and milk through Green and White Revolutions.

The deserving persons always miss out on awards & felicitations. In India, its always the personality that takes precedence over Talent.
Amitabh is a global icon , but doesnt deserve to get bharat ratna,, Sachin Tendulkar deserves bcos Sachin is best cricket in India as well as world.Amitabh bachan is best actor in india not in world ,, moreover Srk has more fan following in western countries than AB... AR Rahman also has global achievemment ,,he desreves than amitabh .... Amitabh Bachchan is brilant actor ,,no doubt cannot be consider for BHarat ratna ...

Most undeserve candidate for Bharat Ratna name is Amitabh Bachchan what ever he has done it is for his own why should he get Bharat Ratna all achievement that Amitabh Bachchan got is supported by media

I strongly support shankar's view, what AB did for India? only to enrich his exchequer, promote family dynasty, use politician friends when need arises and left them...He did and doing only for himself..even acquired land proclaiming as farmer..shame to Bharat Ratna if he is considered
Why the govt.is not giving Bharat Ratna award generously.One award in 3 or 4 years no good.Why not like padmashree in dozens.What does the govt lose?In that case Govt must follow resrvation policy.
