Where has CLASS gone?
by Mullah Naseeruddin on Nov 24, 2011 01:44 PM  | Hide replies

Pity if the next generation loses the idea of what a good song is supposed to be.As someone said mediocrity , shabbiness is the IN thing now. I am a TAMIL and I found the song totally unworthy of the publicity it gets.Gone are the days when lyricists would desist using words like murder , kill in their songs.

agree with you Naseer. However, your father or grandfather would have probably had the same feeling as you..for the songs of your generations (which you call good songs) :-)... we are an outdated set of folks..and we have to live with it :-)

I don't agree. I still feel the old songs are still much better than the songs today. I am 32. Not 60-65!

change of taste
by divine on Nov 24, 2011 11:38 AM  | Hide replies

This clearly shows the taste of present generation on music. I think, its time for great singers like SPB, Yesudas, Pankaj, etc., to stop singing for films to save their dignity and self-respect and also to save the honours bestowed on them.
Fortunately, Kishore, Rafi and other luminors are no more. Else, they would have hanged themselves.

What is the meaning of the words "Kolaveri1 Di1 " ?

I heard the song,it seems to be a twisted version of IntehaHoGayiIntezaarKi1( filmed on AmitabhBachchan1,movie Sharabi1)...
