Have never been a fan of romantic movies, but liked the essence tat Rockstar had to offer. Amidst some of the film's incoherences, Imtiaz Ali crafts a risky yet decent piece of celluloid, coupled with Rahman's music and Ranbir's acting.. P.S: The new breed of actors shud get a cue from Abhay Deol and Ranbir on acting and so shud SRK learn a bit on how to carry out a romantic role..Also I feel Rockstar would be the next Kagaaz ke Phool in history of Indian cinema
Rockstar - An Imtiaz Ali Film..one of the most honest genuine effort I have seen..Hats off to Imtiaz for not thinking of commerce and making a dream project..It is one of the best romantic films with several layers questioning democracy, consumerism in a subtle symbolic way..n what an awesome ending hats off again :) Rightly Mr Kashyap had said the best film of 2011.. I believe it is the best of 2011 alogn with 404-error not found and Stanley Ka dabba.. Not recommended to all regular cine-goers

Agree with u... waise in India good films always gets mixed response... the avg entertainers becomes blockbusters
Only Prithviraj, Raj, Shammi, Shashi and to some extent Rishi were rocking kapoors and self made. Rest all were just pushed forcibly into the industry to keep the Kapoor clout alive in the industry.
only sashi kappor knew a bit of dancing. others were nothing near to dancing. shammi would expose dancing mudras, and rishi would jump in the name of dance! Accept yaar, it's true!

True. Shashi also acted in some offbeat movies like Shakespearewalla, New Delhi Times, Siddhartha, etc.
