only sashi kappor knew a bit of dancing. other were nothing near to dancing. shammi would expose dancing mudras, and rishi would jump in the name of dance! Accept yaar, it's true!

u will enjoy much more songs by rafi, kishore kumar, manna dey, mukesh, asha & lata and others. The oldies were great. The sad, romantic, fun, and other kinds. The old songs from the 40s to mid 80s were great. The songs quality after that have drastically come down. When u listen to oldies from these singers, u will never stop. TOO GREAT
Rock star sans pure rock music. Can anybody imagine a rock music programme being conducted as a one man show with one performer and a sole guitar? Live rock music programme is one which rocks the stage.And that can be accomplished not with a single singer and a guitar alone. More than 70% of rock effect is the contribution of percussion instruments and and an array of guitars. But Rockstar rocks the theater thanks to the sound system only.The song saada haq is termed by certain quarters as youth anthem. How is that? After taking away the four words, Saada haq aithe rakh, can anybody remember the rest of the song even for a day?I realise that if you hum Saada haq aithe rakh continuously these rhyme well with inquilab zindabad.Coming to kun faaya kun, I feel that the song is a misfit in the movie. I suspect that this song has been included at the behest of Rahman who considers sufi music is the ultimate of all music.The film has also not brought out clearly how Janardhan has become a rocks****oes the sufi music and rock music has the same wave length? By visiting the darga and listening to sufi music whether a musician can become a rockstar?By making the statement that India does not have a pure rockstar, Rahman is admitting his failure to provide pure rock music in Rockstar, as only pure rock music makes a pure rockstar, nothing else.By presentation wise,picturisation wise and music wise,RockOn is superior.The music of RockON was ranked 13 in world rock album chart.

ra one is far better than rockstar and has done 100 crores more business than rockstar. if srk haters had not paid media to write negative abt film, it could have earned much more.

You're reading too much into the "rock" word. Its a good story of a popular singer.. and on your comment on sufi music.. Beatles came to india for 3 months and stayed in a ashram in rishikesh before they created their best albums..so lets leave that to music experts..you never know where the inspiration may come from.
