Mr Raja Sen,I think you did not really understand the movie. You talk as if you are the only Tintin fan. Even I have grown up on tintin. Infact I still read it. An adaptation of a book is never literal. How can u turn a 62 page book into a 2 hour movie? U have to take cinematic liberties as long as you stay true to the characters and the basic plot.
The sub-plot of Crab with the golden claws was neccesary as the film was not made only for "tintin fans" like you but also for people who have not read the book. The introduction of haddock with tintin is one of the very entertaining pieces in the tintin series and it was needed in the film.
AS a comic Tinitin was superior to anything around with its brilliant artwork and attention to detail in landscapes, perspectives
color schemes etc. The same could not be said of Bernesconi's "The adventures of tintin" which made it weak. I never liked it. Although it was loyal to the original books, the pace felt rushed and where is the imagination in sticking totally to the books. Something which u said the movie lacked and here you are praising something which lacked imagination. the characters never built up in the animated Bernesconi's "The adventures of tintin".

You do such foolish reviews and you actually are a film critic by profession? OsGOTH,baboon, ectoplasm, fresh water jellyfish!!
The movie along with all the characters was phenomenal!! Spielberg has more wisdom in his tail bone then u have be

Trust me, dude! Raja Sen is right this time. It was a huge dissappointment...Can't believe it from Spielberg. One of the worst adaptions. Even the 3D sucks!

Grossly incompetent

You are worst reviewer of movies ... because u are incompetent. You neither understand movie making nor know how to enjoy a good movie. Please stop writing reviews. It's a brilliant adaptation to the large screen ... to current times ... and start of what will be a hugely successful series.

Raja Sen - Master of Details; Jack of Perspectives.

Hey Raja, I accept that you are master of details and nitpicks; but grow up and see some perspective, dude. You often sound like an overly enthusiastic sophomore in film. I'm sayin this b'coz I've been one, and adored ur reviews and have grown from that. But, I still see u stuck in the rut. Calling TAOT-TSOU unimaginative is highly imaginative.

lacks imagination...??????????????

Hey Raja...how many times have u directed a live animation 3D movie based on comics.
Agreed that the movie has differed from comics but to say it lacks imagination is far-fetching. Get a life dude !!!!
It is one of the best live action animation 3D movie in recent times and is building the technology for future as I strongly believe people in future will go to movie halls only if u offer them a visual treat....for stories and drama TV will become the mainstay.
For that itself I appreciate the foresight of spielberg and peter and other pioneers who are working in this direction.
Btw, if you think u have so much of imagination, please offer to direct the 2nd part as peter seems busy. Even in IMDB I didn't find such ridiculous review.
Rediff: Your reviews suck. Case in point - I blindly believed the raja sen review of 3 idiots and didn't see it until last month. When I watched it finally, i thought it was a brilliant movie with a very topical theme, good story and acting and entertainment in all..same has been the case with some other reviewers for some other movies as well...
By and large, I have now decided to watch what I want to using my own intelligence rather than these reviewers who seem very biased.
