Just came home watching Shaitaan.. it is something promised in the trailers..it is dark film which deals with the mind of the characters..set in a thriller mode with a dejavu of Kashyap's earlier unreleased Paanch(which is available on net..just watch the masterpiece thriller) the film never tries to deviate from its main plot..It is dark,it is disturbing..Personally I liked it a lot and with changing sensibilities of Indian youth (who are open to world cinema) I think this film will pick up with the target audience.. [and if u r a rajeev khandelwal fan go for shaitaan..what a superb actor he is :) ]

..it is the same Raja Sen whom i thought understood sensible cinema (going by his previous reviews of good parallel cinema) but recently he seem to lost everything.. Actually seriously i could figure out why he didnt like Shaitaan..taking a sentence from Raja's baja ".all this psychobabble serves to do is slow down the narrative and offer a half-hearted apology for its anti-heroine being a monster.." now what actually Raja wanted :O Personally I felt the flashback was superbly done .. I think Mr Raja should review bhojpuri films :P
I could not understand the head and tail of this review. Instead of wasting my energy and brain to understand what the reviewer has written I decidd to go there to hall and watch it. Anurag Kashyap is a good director and having ideas, may be he is over enthused about Kaki Kochlein (he left his wife for her I heard) and a Mallu Guy is directing the movie. So being a mallu I may go movie hall and see it. Perhaps I may write a review later which you can all understand.
Boss ... If you are writing a review then make sure somebody understand ... Obscurity is not a tool for great articles ... Be a bit more lucid so that people "do" get what you are writing ... For vocabulary they can all read the Hindu editorials ... One more thing ... Please spare us from this Oh-you-know-how-much-movies-I-have-watched-ha-ha-Pwned-you-bitchez diatribe ... People come here to see if a movie "expert" like you can decide that whether a movie can qualify as a decent watch ... And you are not helping!!!

Reading the review was like wading through thick swamp on a pitch black night. It left one clueless. which at every step clung to ur toes. You couldn’t fathom the direction in which you were heading to the swamp had a dragging effect threatening and quite accomplishing in drowning anybody who made a foolhardy attempt to wade through it……………..drat now I am clueless Hey btw Mr. Sen did you get time to really watch the movie
Take notes of words like " i like " ,"i personally do not have issue " , " my favourite moment " - and u have in a nutshell the essence of a Raja Sen Review. A serious advice Mr Sen - U r not the central theme of the movie , U are not involved anywhere in the making of the movie -infact in the universe of movie making u r only a small hinge given the task of movie reviewing. This constant need to showcase your knowledge about past films stands good in your personal Blog or in your FB page. But while giving reviews pls stick to the central theme and the performances of the cast. A simple review can do wonders for reader's understanding and his subsequent choice.
