Do not go by what is shown in movies only, EVERY Indian should visit Mumbai at least once to absorb the attitude and culture of Mumbai. It is probably the best Indian city comparable to other international cities. Except the traffic woes which has not been addressed by administration. If they adopt a system like ERP / CBD (Electronic Road pricing / Central Business District) as exists in Singapore, the traffic demon can be brought under control !! Model city - Mumbai !
Not only in terms of the films produced, but in several other respects Mumbai is the best. Its unique work culture, suburban trains & BEST buses which form the life nerves of the Mumbai transport system, accommodating life styles of the people-right from a pauper to billionaire , mutitude of work opportunities suiting different levels of intellectuals with different qualifications, typical unusual rains that act as surprise showers at some times, attitude of the people who take every thing in stride & stoically as was amply evidenced from the facts that life came to normal on the very nest day to the 1993 bomb blasts & 26th November ruthless killing of the people by the terrorists, neat food habits of Maharashtrians, laudable civic/transport discipline, boisterous spirit of commuters in the local trains who seek pleasure in pain as can be evidenced b the mass "bhajans,in the local trains by groups & right utilisation of time by some of the shrewd working women who attend to part of kitchen work like chopping the vegetables etc..are inimitable for any other city,I should say,in the world itself.Mumbai levels every one-an indolent becomes active,a "kaamchor" becomes a workholic,a vagabond becomes a wage earner. It is city of great opportunities & one who misses a regular inning for few years is really unlucky.Life without working in Mumbai is certainly incomplete. It maketh a man perfec
