Do IPS pass outs join as Dy SP's?? or Constables?
by Harikrishnan Menon on Feb 14, 2011 03:03 PM

I thought that IPS guys join service in the min rank of SP. Also, a scene where his superior talks to him (Ratnavel Pandian IPS) about fear, he starts off by rattling statistics.. Initial posting in Tirunelveli, 12 transfer, 4 promotions etc in 7 years...So which rank did he join as? A Constable? Because, when he reaches Devipattinam, he is still a Dy.SP only..

Top most masala film in Tamil but little bit Telugu flour. Karthi is versatile as an actor no doubt. He is also proofed that he can do masala movies also

is an absolute no-brainer. Whatever happened to Karthi who gave us films like Naan Mahan Alla. Our guys criticise Viajy, Ajith et., for logic defying masalas, but this movie has gone far below the standards.

Buddy,Please try to understand that Karthi is just hardly 4 years into the Tamil film industry. He has done very good movies like Paruthiveeran,Ayirathil oruvan which is too difficult to be done for a fresher or entry level actor. Apart from that, yes,he is doing some masala movies which I guess is not much appreciable. However, unfortunately,we have not seen such a stellar performance like Paruthiveeran from Ajith or Vijay in the last 17 or 18 years (i.e. from when they started acting in movies). So, nothing to wonder or worry about people criticizing them for not being versatile as an actor.

Cylinders
by kaushik on Jan 15, 2011 07:19 PM  | Hide replies

One thing weird I noticed is every heroine in Tamil film needs to weight at least 100 kgs. But this girl looks thin, probably because she got sick during shoot or the producers didnt feed her well.
I think people who watch this movie will find that as a drawback as they generally like plump women like Khusboo, Namitha, Jyothika etc.
Tamanna needs to put on at least 50 kgs if she wants to continue acting in tamil movies.

hello, we go to movies..with certain expectations.. your mother might be cylinder, but there is nothing wrong in expecting the movie heroine to be slim.

No it is absolutely wrong now. When MGR was ther as the hero, he had the followers/fans from the illiterate/ LIG sectors. Educated used to admire Shivaji Ganesan and others. Now it is fully changed. Excepting a small percentage of the LIG all others are well educated/elite novices.
