Rediff are you nits? There is no mention of DDLJ, K2H2!!! SRK's looks in K2H2 created waves across the country.... Poor selection of nominations, typical rediff... perhaps.
SRK in 90's (Crime Thriller Comedy and mainly Musical Romantic) .....now Paheli(Fantasy),Om Shanti OM (All Genres),Swades(Drama), Chak de India (Sport), MNIK (Drama Romance), Ra.1(Si-fi Action), Don 2 (Action) .....and they say that SRK only does romantic flicks .

he is hit because most of his movies has romantic theme as he is having ability like girls of "CRYING". Of course he talks and deliver good dialouges also that also very girlish....isnt it
His apart from romantic which got hit is Swadesh and Chak de. both because of Good story line up and sensational subjects of poor respect to National Sports in India... Pity on all of us.
He got have to act in these which anybody would have acted and made it a hit even guys like Sohail, Fardeen or Zayed khan

Dear Friends, It is a fact that ShahRukh Khan has dominated the film industry like no other in the last 2 decades. His achievements have been if anything but unparallel. Do you think anyone can ever replicate this?. His high ideals and never giving up on adversity have always been a model for us young generations to look upon. I am not sure about all these SRK bashings. Biggest movie star in the world...well it has been there for all to see. Is there an argument?
some here have opined that srk is the world's biggest star, and that's according to wikipedia.
well here's the news. its purely speculative, they say he's considered one of the biggest star, he's not mentioned as sure. and to say his fans number in the billions - is a stretch. he would be popular in say the gulf and india ? where else ? compare that to tom cruise - who's probably known all over the world. i doubt if the entry in wikipedia is done by an over-zealous shah rukh khan. in india itself, shah rukh is over shadowed by amitabh. amongst the 3 khans, probably srk leads. anything else beyond that is pure speculation.

Dude..you need to consider the language and cultural barrier as well...all hollywood movies are seen all over the world and therefore naturally hollywood actors will have major fan following..but considering bollywood cinema which is restricted to Asia and has limited fan following in US, Europe and UK...dont you think SRKs (who is from non-bollywood background) achievement needs standing ovation
