Normally other language movies are not dubbed in Malayalam whether it is in English, Hindi or Tamil. We watch them in original. Meanwhile why are you so much afraid of film like Dam 999 ? Truth is bitter right ? How long are you going to hide the facts from the people ? Go and watch Valyudham 100 times which best suits for your IQ !

this is not insult to minority community christian brothers and china town is insult to entire film industry such pathetic movies they r.
I think it was an ordinary film with a cliched story. The film got noticed because salim kumar won the best actor award and also because of the cinematography.
we have to learn from mallus.how many different stories are generating from such a small state.they are intelligent people.they are not worshiping stars like us.I saw recent mallu movies traffic and salt n pepper .how beautiful they are with small budget.what about us.with larger budget we still makes remakes from Masala from Telugu and resulting senseless movies like velayudham etc.

Tamil people are copy cats from other states, they need river from other states and finally claim it is theirs be it anything even in movies, no exception.

We Tamils are not copy cats.. Remakes are common.. Even malayalam movies are remaked frm Tamil.. Eg: Bhuvana oru kelvi kuri. More over we have our own classics which u guys cant even touch such story lines.. How bold are malayalam movies when they convey a social message..? A new comer can make a very gud art movies.. i saw some art movies in tamil(Television) which are really exceptional..

Mr sathiya u havent watched malayalams with social message so ignorant u r that u r telling that malayalam films dont convey social messages.we need not touch ur classics as our films have got national and international recognition.if u want to tell something to critisize everybody so be it but that is like saying grapes r sour, when u don't reach that level
I admire malayalam movies. but the fact is still u guys dont have guts to try out something new. Offcourse most of the Tamil movies are western story lines., but we experiment a by trying out new themes. More over i came to know that most of the malayalam movies are copy of western story lines. So even u guys are copying. Then y u guys are so proud.? Agree.?

Mr Sathiya do u know anything about classics from m.t vasudevan nair and padmarajan .the films u mentioned are nowhere near the league of these films which i'm mentioning bcoz i understand tamil and not critisising those movie u mentioned because they r very good movies but u must know malayalam to watch these movies .M.T's classics like vadakkan veeragatha, sargam, sadayam, nakaksharangal and padmarajan's classics like innale ,thoovanathumbikal njan gandharvan ,moonam pakkam koodevide, namukku paarkan munthirithoppukal, aparan are classics and also got national and international recognition.if you had the courage to watch these movie and raise ur opinion about it with open heart u would'nt have posted such comments.why do we need to remake the movies u mentioned when the movies which i mentioned r far superior. Also i repeat above mentioned movies are not western storylines.U can just know facts by knowing that 7 malayalm films where shown in malyalam at the IFFI goa and only 2 from tamil.I'm not telling that tamil movies are bad but for your information only i told this.Got it right...?

Sathiya, The examples you gave all came from 1 director. He is good at giving critically acclaimed movies that has lots of commercial elements in it. thats why it has so much popularity. Good cant alone exist. So inspite of very good films in Malayalam, there are some bad films too. How abt tamil. we do have our own Kuppai movies. Only a few in a year stand out. Also Guys, I have a request for everyone. lets stop Comparing. Rajini vs Kamal, South vs North, Rice vs Roti.. we can keep adding millions to this list. Whats the use? Each has its own flavors. All of them are good in some way and bad in some way. Lets just dont waste our time and energy. Accept things as it is and move ahead.

Kuppai's are every where mate.. Not only tam movies.. Even some mal movies are kuppai.. We are discussing our tamil movies are also in league to compete with any such film industry. Its our people's mistake we never agree on our own intelligence and never watch such movies to encourage the director. We should change and everybody should change..

Both Tamil and malayalam movies are good. But during the years more good movies are coming from Tamil industry, Eg: mozhi, paruthiveeran, Pasanga, Subramuniyapuram, Yutham sei, Anjathaey are fine examples. Tamils are no more afraid of trying new. But malyalam movies once which are of hi quality stuff even from modest budget are dwindling in numbers. I was very upset to see movies like Christian brothers, China town with such reckless moving making attitude. Its fortunate chappa kurisu or salt n papper are around there. biggest weakness malayalam industry is their budget and love for other language movies in kerala.
