In india , there is only kind of reservation, that is based on paying bribest to politicians and their cronies if one wants to have any kind of job in any govt department. The rates are fixed and known to all the aspirants. Whether you are SC OR ST OR OBC OR UPPER CASTE, the rate for getting a govt job are fixed by politicians. SCST and OBC people are befooled by politicians in the name of reservation. All what the general people get is, politicians usurp 1000 crores of govt money then they pay 10 crores to poot people in the name of variour schemes, such as minority scholarship, free bicycle, free tv, free coaching , free education etc.

No need of reservations. If necessary give them 50% concession in fees etc. But everyone should compete in the open [execept untouchables and the handicapped].

wonder why the FC category is keeping quiet, they should start an agitation countrywide against this reservations. I know lot of people who are well settled in their life with hefty pay packs, their children still availing the reservation benefits in schools, colleges, jobs and what not!!. Reservations should be for the genuine and needy ones and not for generations together, it should be on economic backwardness, still the caste based politics is played with few incidents here and there in the backward regions. The filthy politicians dont want to develop the region purposely and thrive on their vote bank. The generation which has benefitted by reservations should be stopped for getting benefits to their next generation. Hon. supreme court should coax the govt. to put a full stop for this reservation to such people.
Mr. Chhabra seem to be an upper cast punjabi, who had grown up in delhi or may be newyork/canada where all true patriots of India live (obviously they left the country because of there love for it). He has extremely one sided view of reservation - much like our national media who covered anti reservation protests 24*7. So he thinks that what he thinks about reservations is the view of whole India. What he does not know is that there is an India beyond Delhi/Other Metro where Uppercast people are definitely evil atleast 90 percent of them. His subtle hints regarding the "focusing on real problem" are his own and not of at least 90 percent of India's. Loksabha is not so foolish that it passed the reservation bill with thumping majority(if all the Indians are so called against it)

Lok sabha passed reser bill for votes.
If 100% Indians vote tomorrow reservation then the lok sabha that comes out of it will amend the constitution and keep only reservation for economically backward groups.

It is a fact that the ancient Indian culture and caste system bestowed many privelges to Brahmins. But today there are no hindracnes to Sudras (OBCs), who are not untouchables, to study hard and come up. Why do you beg for reservations? Compete in the open. A Brahmin studies hard and excels. OBC rascalls spend their time in drinking, fighting with others, and loafing. They don't make any real effort to improve their intellect and so they remain backward and then beg for rotten food (reservations).

see matrimonial coloumns of news papers. Enen doctor engineers and IAS/IPS ask for same caste wife/husband. The basis of discrimination is caste and not economic, so reservations should only and only be on caste basis

absolutely, it has a significant relationship which your upper caste racist mind fails to decipher
This seems to be a good movie it is trying to slap the system, these politicians have made for their purposes. The Arakshan provides shade to the so clalled Dalit Politicians. Those who did not have two suits to wear have millions. Are they bothered for the poors of their community. Fact is that they do want them to come up. Because all those, in executive class or well settled in society do not vote for such politicians. I hate to write them leaders. So much coruption that has shaken not only the public but the Saints, Gandhians, and other school going students as well. They know the corruption and its heights. How these politicians then save each other and provide shelters. Socialists, movement leaders, social workers hate to enter the politics because these people throw mud on the faces of the honest, kill them and terrorize the public of the consequences.
Why there is so much Hungama on The Arakshan movie because it has tried to unfurl the truths of the dirty politics. Quality has no meaning. Poverty has no meaning. Why the poor of the so called society be benefited.
Reservation exists in one form or the other. there is reservation for some sections of society guaranteed by the constitution. And there is informal reservation. certen section who do not benefit from the above give jobs, promotions to their own section people. That is informal reservation. Informal reservation has done much harm to India.

I completely agree with u. U hv very rightly said that a lot of people who r well settled in their lives(after fully enjoying the Reservation facility) with hefty pay packs now, and their children also still availing the res. benefits in schools, colleges, jobs and in everything(incl. Elections). One of my friends who is from SC Category enjoying the full reservation system, once started arguing with me that caste system should not b pointed out by anyone even while talking about school/college admissions, jobs, promotions etc., BUT THE RESERVATIONS(for SC/ST) SHOULD BE IMPLEMENTED STRICTLY as they r downtrodden. My argument was that if the Res.System is to be implemented and the SC/STs are ready to claim the benefit out of it, WHAT IS WRONG IN SIMPLY POINTING OUT & UTTERING by anyone, because I have utterred the same thing. When the discussion was going on high & high, for a very short time, I was prepared to say "sorry" to him for uttering and making him a little worried, but I stopped in saying "sorry" to him as the Res. System itself has been passed by the Parliament and Acts or strict rules to this effect are being followed throughout the country. Then why should I say "sorry" for uttering or raising the point of Reservation System with an SC candidate. I need not be sorry to anyone even openly as well as innerly.
As you said, the Res. should b for the genuine & needy ones and not for generations together even in SC/ST familie
