Tamas is the best of all of them.. and contrary to what is mentioned here, it is available on home video now (launched recently).. I got it last weekend and had an amazing time watching it.. What a masterpiece..

there was a serial called "lifeline'. also called jeevanrekha. it was about a hospital and its stories. ak hangal, benjamin gilani, ila arun, shafique inamdar were a few of many other major actors. it'd be a superb movie.
