The right to write Rajini jokes comes with the complementary abuses from his fans. If you don't like the abuses then don't post the jokes. As if they are clever, clowns.....

Film stars get TOOO MUCH undue attention and respect ...
by K Narendran on Apr 12, 2011 08:38 PM  | Hide replies

Nowhere else in the world does it happen to this extent ! It is ridiculous that Amitabh and Rajnikanth are enjoying demi-god status !

Surely, this has its adverse effects.. we Indians do not address reality as much as we ought to.. so we escape reality (our corrupt rulers, our dirty streets, our less-than desirable establishments of all sorts etc.) by thinking too much about Amitabh and Rajnikanth and a hundred other stars...

Just ask this question: What is so great about either Amithabh or Rajnikanth ? Now, don't start telling me that they have got millions of fans etc.. I want to know, what is so great about their real accomplishments?

They simply don't deserve so much adulation!

Instead, why dont you become a fan of Anna Hazare? That makes far more sense !

Hey, Mr Cynic, listen.. All I meant was that if you need the feel to idolize someone, at least idolize someone worthy, like Anna Hazare... Stop drawing far-fetched conclusions from a single sentence ! Cynics like you are definitely the other extreme, trying to negate each and everything just for the heck of it...

So who's fan are you ! Are you a Kamal Fanatic who doesnt like demigod status of Rajni and Amitabh... You are the cynic here... So whats wrong if somebody wants to idolize Rajni... Has he not succeeded in life. Has he not given good movies and talked sense ... Has he not done good to the society... Has he not good to people in his own way... I think you are a cynic and a sick guy... Everyone has to do their bit to their society in their own way and from whereever they are... if not doing anything constructive atleast dont destruct... How can you say that fasting in Delhi alone is right and being in Bangalore or chennai and Hyderabad if you support Anna hazare its wrong... get a heart you idiot Narendran

if you have seen rajinis movies from the start he has always explained the essence of life in different ways....and also how to live a good , ethical life....also in his movies he explains as to ups and downs of real life and also all walks of life and how to have courage to deal with such problems.....SO HE IS LIKE A ROLE MODEL FOR TAMIL FANS LIKE ME.........a GURU kind of person......he himself has gone through all the negative paths also like Drinking , Girlz ect ....and then when he realizes life is something more that just the mortal life and gives the wisdom he got to his fans....MAKES HIM LIKE GOD .....because a GURU should be a person who has learned his leasons from Practical life than just theory sake....

So, by having 'word smith' as a psuedonym makes you an authority in English?

Haven't you heard that in the whole of India only Tamils can speak English without an accent that distorts words?

Having lived in both North and South, I've observed that Tamilians speak English with such grammatical correctness than people of other states. Their hatred for Hindi has obviously pushed them to learn English better as an alternative language.

My manager once asked me, "You speak such good English. Are you a Tamil ?" I have never known that Tamilians have made such an impression in America.

Your manager has made a sarcastic comment on your English fluency and you thought you have and Tamils have great English skills. As far my knowledge you can easily make out a Tamilian speaking English by his mixing his native accent. For example most Tamils pronounce "EARTH" as "YERTH".

Really?? dude, your manager asked you because only Tamilians and telugus go to US in swarms. you will hardly see any North indian in US or the ratio is very less. so many south indians are in US, that these many won't be there in india itself. Don't praise tamil accent, it's horrible. 'A' pronounced as "Aye" and and 'E' as "Yee".. and 'H' as "Yech". you may be an exception. I have stayed in chennai and Hyderabad as well. Kindly don't keep any kind of superiority complex over english, you also suffer from mother tongue influence like all other indians, so take a chill pill.

Puneet Malhotra if you have been in Chennai and Hyderabad... I have been in Mumbai and Delhi Tamils are always the best when it comes to Pronouncing the Words in English closer to perfection. And it keeps evolving as it is... So you take a chill pill and start talking good english. Whatever pronouncement you told as Tamilians do is not correct... Not aleast if they have studied in an English Medium School. What Mr.UV had stated was comaparing an English Medium guy say for someone who studied in Mumbai and for someone who studied in Bangalore or chennai the Tamilians speak closer to Perfection... so do go and take a chill pill yourselves and your entire Malhotra Community and start learning good English...

I guess u never understood what I meant with the comment and you are advising whole "malhotra" community to learn good English.lol. This isn't about making a living.u guys will learn English Not because u want to learn a language but because u want to go to America. Not because u want to make a living but to be an American.

My first love was army.I wasn't selected in the interview because of a small click in my heart.I earned my engineering degree and got a job in Chennai(you people made me feel as if I am from another country).I never thought of going to USA until I was hired by in Chennai. After 2.5 years, I was offered an on-site project.I was told that I've "excellent communication skills and strong technical knowledge" and I can "save" more $$.

I resigned from the company and came to Hyderabad, but always wanted to know what's so special which makes these people go to USA in swarms. At present,I am in USA for a small project for 6 months and I feel so sad that these guys are here because there parents insist them to stay there.Their parents don't want them to come back to India because they feel proud to tell their "neighbours" that their son is working in USA and is a greencard holder/citizen.u guys are ashamed to even call yourselves indians. This is the problem.

Traveling to Hyderabad and Chennai is not same as travelling to USA, u don't need a visa to come
