Kareena is not even 1 100th of what Julia roberts and she thinks she is on top of the world. This is remake and she could better spend time with her step kids than acting.

HO HO HO... That was a mean one..!!!! Come to think of it.. Probably this was some kind of coaching lesson that she undertook considering that probably she needs it desperately ... after all her real life ain't too different..!!
Its amusing that one time directors who haven't yet proved that they are salt's worth, couldn't even manage to make a film on an original subject go about making stupid statements like Kareena suppressing Julia Robers.
Hopefully, this one time director would be able to supress Mahesh Bhatt in copying and lifting from Hollywood movies.

Tim Jim, Have u seen the movie to comment this? why shouldnt one compare when the performances of our heriones are actually better than english heroiness.. I dont really understand why we indians are so obseesed for the english actors and actress...we have got much better performers than these p_o_r_n creatures...The english is only great in one thing.That is technology...But when it comes to acting no Julia Robot or George Clown or the likes of Sewage Pitts can beat us.... Yes I admit that there are lots of indian movies which are run the mill stuff but when someone acts ,they should get appretiated....and it hurts when an indian himself is not confident about that...this is a typical grim indian mindset// Tim Jim , i see that u the so called indian settled in US and calls urself as an american. but falls somwehere between an indian and american...to be more precise c_h_a_k_k_a ..hehee..

Hey Sujith Kumar... I can only deduce (and not incorrectly) from your comment that : 1) You are mighty upset that you could not qualify for any visas outside of India 2) You are obsessed with the mindless crap that gets churned out in Bollywood in the name of cinema (barring a few exceptions and the oldies) because they portray a larger than real life image which helps you lull yourself into a world of fantasy..
Well here are the facts and you can recheck them from the comments on this article that has been pouring in..
Kareena would have not even got a chance to act or dance had she not had the Kapoor tag in her name... Its purely because of multiple cosmetic enhancements and exorbitant money chugged out to dieticians, beauticians that she looks presentable... Otherwise at best, she looks like a typical punju desi girl who wears expensive clothes.
And I dont even want to mention her acting...!!! Or I will throw up...

I would have agreed to your point if we were talking about the actor in the calibre of Tabu or Konkana Sen. But, Kareena is no where near Julia Roberts... If she wasn't from a Kapoor family, she wouldn't even have got a chance to be a group dancer in the last row.

couldn't agree more..kareena is a highly overrated actress mainly for her family background..she's flooded with awards for just a 15min role in 3 idiots whereas other deserving actress who are far better than her don't even get nominated...this industry 5uk5 when it comes to recognizing talent..
Julia Roberts and Susan Sarandon did most of the acting in Stepmom through their eyes. While Kareena is quite good when she is loud, the last time she tried emoting (in Don), the effort ended up looking quite funny.
Anyway, maybe she has improved, so lets take a look.
