Shammi, OP nayar and rafi saahab represented the golden era of Hindi films. Nayar's superb compositions, rafi's marvellous rendition and shammi's energy are sorely missed

Oh, I couldn't agree with you more, Rajashi. OP's by far the greatest maverick we have ever had with the zingiest melodies ever..not many today acknowledge his contribution..
How the time has gone..from melodious to metallic to cyber age. Shammi Kapoor used to be the dream/role model of all youth (to old) during 60s and 70s. He used to mesmerize girls with his teasing antics, and the boys with his YAHOO image! When Dev Anand used to play more tender romance (Jab Pyar Kissi Se Hota Hai to Tere Ghar Ke Samne to Jewel Thief)...Shammiji used to be the hard-nut-to crack with his wild (but still decent) and rustic romances (Bluff Master, Junglee, Janwar, Budthameez..) to more & more naughty (Boy Friend, Raj Kumar, Kashmir Ki Kali, Theesri Manzil, An Evening in Paris, Dil Dekho Dekho) Blockbusters. Very few know about his great fascination to Ayn Rand as he used to live with such individualistic philosophy. Thanks for being with us Shammiji..from Black&White Era through Eastman Days to the present Internet age. Let the divine grace be on him ..to improve his health...and bestow more longevity... and more interaction with his Fans. I would like to see a memorable article on Shammiji by Raju Bharatan or Girija Rajendran through Rediff..
