I am Tamilian but your views sound like you want to incite a Tamil-Kerala arguement here.. Aren't you satisfied with North-South divide that you now you want to create a divide within south??
Dear Rediff,don't make the people fool with this type of articles.I am from kerala,Thrissur district and I know what happens here.Enthiran released in my town at 3 centres(not a common practice even for mammotty or mohanlal films)and the first two days tickets(balcony)were fully booked everywhere .just took an average for 128 centres.Even a 5 year old boy can calculate better than you people at Rediff.Director Amal wont tell such nonsense..you people are misleding people with such headings.
Dont be deceived by rediff into regional fights. Amal Neerad said Anwar did better than Enthiran 'in Kerala'. Rediff headline seems to give an impression of an arrogant Amal talking non-sense!
Classic example of lowly journos twisting things for sensation and by extension, money.

Dear Sk,Anwar is a good film.But enthiran is top in terms of collections because enthiran has released more than 125 centres in kerala.Anwar is released in 101 centres,So enthiran is no1 in terms of collections.

matie, even in kerala, anwar has got little chance to top enthiran in the openin weekend. enthiran released in 128 theatres with 29 shows in kochi alone. nd all the 29 wer runnin housefull in the openin weekend. 15 of them wer runnin fullhouses in cinemax wer a ticket costs rs150.
anwar on the other hand has not relaesed the way enthiran did (sorry, dnt kno the theatre count) nd the no of shows in definitely not even half of 29 in kochi. so ters not even a remote chance for it to collect half of enthiran frm kerala. anwar may b doin a vinayan (remember him claimin his vediyakshi collectin 1.5 cr in 1st week)by fiddlin with the figures
budget of movie anwar will be equal to rajanikanth sir's 1 day breakfast meal.
robot is a class movie. in kerala such movies cant be produced because 1.lack of talent 2. poor audience compare to tamil nadu in chennai 1 movie ticket can be sold for 500 rs but in kerala max price for a hit movie is around 100 rs

Wht the f**k u r speaking abt...who said kerala has lack of talent... mohanlal,mammotty,govind menon,resul,santosh sivan to name a few..kerala movies had got more national award compared to any other cinema...adoor gopalakrishnan is classic example.. wht do u say slim heroine...my dear friend we dont watch movies for fulfilling lust...kerala people watch every type of movies including english and hindi...dont say such bullshit things..

I think you have not seen Malayalam Films. Some of them are real gems and its only in the post production value (and yes the graphic effects and Actors cost) that it fails to match with the say a tamil or other language films. I learnt Malayalam to see and under stand them. They have real gem stories in them. See the stories of Satyan Andikaad, Sreenevasan to understand what i say and then call audience poor. I go to see good story films. i think you go to movie to see graphics and Computer animations. why see movies then and why not Screen savers????

Just take a list technicians of the Hindi films. You can find more Keralite names, Resul, Santhosh Sivan, Ravi.K Chandran, Sabu Cyril etc . So you morons are making films on the cost of our brains.

Hi Everybody, for heaven sake understand what Endhiran has fetched for south indian Cinema, Till date people abroad knew only Hindi Cinema as Indian Cinema but Endhiran has made people sit up & say there are other language Movies made in India, we should be honored that Endhiran is Asis's Costliest movie which has broken all the box office records created in the 60years of Indian Cinema, When comparing it compare it properly, Endhiran is a Sci Fi Film with the State of Art & far superior than used in Hollywood also the Director should understand that every states own language release will always be better but Endhiran has even proved that wrong in many places, it has made producers to invest more & it will happen with Malayalam Movies also which is always talked very rich for its Script. Lets all stop comparing and start appreciating individual movies for there content and entertainment provided for us PUBLIC>

Its not a flop...Endhiran is not a Hindi film...try dubbing Dabangg or 3 idiots in telugu/tamil/malayalam/kannada and find out how much do they make.. Dubbing never makes money..but ENdhiran still made 15 crores in North..

If SRK movie is doing well in Mumbai, there is no element of surprise at all. Also ONLY in Mumbai his film can do that. But Robot is doing great job all over the world, which collected 200 crore with in 2 weeks and it is counting. So dont event try to mention SRKs name in this topic.

Why should any one compare any movie with endhiran/robo. Prithviraj has his own charisma...but the director has gone nuts to compare his movie with a world class movie.. i am a malayali and i love malayalam movies and actors.. But yes even if it has taken more opening in kerala its good... Endhiram is a class act..no one had the guts to try such type of movies in india...
Endiran is a indian global movie...
Nothing is taken frm prithviraj...he is future of malayalam movies...a fine actor...

This is the problem of the Malayalam film makers. For the post release publicity they will say anything on the channels which we felt that it is not genuine most of the times. But also I feel that it is REDIFF'S brain to put the heading like this.
