looks like anwar is good movie.. if it is good it is expected to do good in kerala. but endiran reach is different so it is like comparing apples and oranges.
Vanakkam to all of my tamil bothers.The latest malayalam film Anwar is a good film,Stylish camera work,good direction,over all good film.Anwar is a miniscule budget(4 crore) film compared to big movie of india Enthiran.Enthiran creates a storm in kerala boxoffice.For the first time in malayalam film history enthiran is raleased with 5 prints in Trivandrum and 4 prints in Eranakulam.It creates a new record in kerala.It surpassed all box office collections in kerala.Not enthiran,many tamil movies like Sivaji,Padayappa,Pokkiri,Singham,Ayan,Anniyan,Dasavathram,Subramaniapuram,angaditheru,Billa,Vettaikkaran creates a storm in kerala.I think These films are brilliantly made tamil films. Now Anwar is a good film.Enthiran released in 128 screens in kerala and creates new record.A big salute to Tamil nadu and tamil brothers

Those days are over when some movies use to run for months; now for every movie we see the collection as main criteria; which can be achieved by having a Star in the movie, proper publicity and increasing the Ticket cost; Thats why we see a big collection but the movie is off the cinema within a month..

indeed bro. misin those golden days wen we hav loads of movie ad's in friday newspapers with some of them showin 50, 100 or even 150 days theatre run in release centres. chitram had a 1 yr run, godfather ran over 400 days, manichitrathazhu over 250 days. those days r gone. now all movies r called blockbusters from the 2nd day itself. nd they really struggle to reach 40 days. movies like pappee appacha, yakhi, pokkiriraja were called blockbusters by its makers in the beginning but rumour has it tat both pappi nd yakshi had only given losses to the producer. i still dnt get hw pokkiriraja got a 50 days run in BO. it never deserved to run 10 days in cinemas. tis happens wen good movies like TD dasan failed to cash in at BO nd paleri manikyam nd kerala cafe is bein flop. even a good movie like pranchi is behind averages like shikkar nd elsamma in the BO wen it shud hav been the topper. major reason for the fall of malayalam cinema r the crappy directors nd writers with illogical story nd execution, stupid producers who is just for throwin in money with no clue as to wat they r doin nd some so called fans who makes movie watchin a nightmarish experience. nd we mallus hav the habit of not accepting new faces or different stories, which compels the makers to go for the old wine.

William is right.I think Now malayalam films are imitating tamil moviies.Best examples are puthiya mugham,pokkiri raja.Both these films are ran over 100 days and become block busters.Pranchiyettan is one of the best films i had ever seen.I liked that films very much.I dont know whether william should agree with me.I dont like pokkiri raja and puthiya mugham.Both are pucca tamil films.Malayalees dont accept good films like athmakatha,Pranchi,palari manikyam,thirakkatha.Even though pranchi is a very good film,it cannot make an impact.It left many theatres in 25 days and ends up as average.It is wondering why puthiya mugham,pokkiraja ran over 100 days.william's opinion is 100% correct.we should accept good films like paleri,pranchi,athmakatha.Again i am repeating whether william should agree with my opinion?

nd offcourse pranchiyettan is the best in 2010 nd one of the top 10 movies of the last 10 yrs. i hav seen it 3 times already. forgot the last time i saw such classical nd spontanious comedy in a movie

i do agree with u mr krishnan. I happened to buy a dvd of crappy appacha nd hav now decided not to pay another dime to the makers of the movies like pokkiriraja, red chillies, yakshi, vandematharam etc. we, the viewers, in protest, must spread the links to people wer trhey can dwnload these junks for free, in case somone needs to see it. i doubt mammootty nd prithvi mit hav paid their fans to see it again nd again. lolsss. i hav never seen any of these craps nd hav no intention to watch it or pay for these junks. I would rather pay for aathmakatha, td dasan etc.

to see statndard of malayalam films take wikipedia and check last 20 years national awards for best film and actor /actress
film is not based on spending crores to shoot a song. why rajanikanth dont have a national award yet? becoz he is a crappy actor? and he acknoledges it wont make him any better
vadivelu showing weird gesters are comedy in tamil. I feel pity for u guys
are these numbers are Genuine? Lot of time these producers keep mentioning Movie is blockbuster , collection is so and so....to bring viewers to theaters. But i guess income tax payment is the correct place to know how much h really they have made money. This is for any language

I believe you are not from south india.. You haven't seen any of his movies to call his acting bad..just look at his old movies and you will realise he is an acting powerhouse..he jumps and fights for only few minutes in a movie..rest all is pure acting..be it his villainy in Endhiran, comedy in Sivaji, anger in Basha and Padayappa...
You have only seen his fight scenes and that alone doesn't entitle you to doubt his acting ability.

So?? does that mean he acts any less??? His old movies were pure acting while in the 90s he had to take up the role of a mass hero which everybody in India, including Bollywood(Akshay, Bachchan) did..
Just because he jumps high during action scenes doesn't make him a bad actor..

People worship Rajini cos he is a great human being...we whistle and hoot when he flies even we know that its outlandish..but when you know how great a person is, it makes you sideline his antics...
