Robot (Hindi) could not make much impact at the box office as it grossed around 7 crore nett in its opening weekend.
The film did better on Saturday and Sunday but the big jump in collections was not there. The collections were mainly from Mumbai circuit (3.25 crore nett) and CPCI (1 crore nett). The North remained very dull.
The shows of Endhiran (Tamil) were much better be it Mumbai, Delhi or Gurgaon but it was a very limited release.
Overall Robot (Hindi) has not done well especially if we look at the release which was pretty wide. It will have to depend on the weekdays and second weekend if it is to put up a decent final total.

This is due to weak prerelease publicity and bad plabbing.Anyway the publicity has started now and the movie will pick up.Another thing is even if the figures shown by you are correct the movie has already recovered the dubbing costs and whatever it starts collecting now onwards shall be profit.

Not "plabbing" but planning.The main cost will be recovered from Tamil,Telugu versions.That is why the movie is already a hit.

I am not questioning the success of Endhiran. No doubt it will be a big hit. But Robot (Hindi) was released in 700 prints across the country and has tanked. Just balancing reports by parts of the media that seem to suggest a juggernaut and universal craze - its far from it. Even in Mumbai here, which is very cosmopolitan the response is very tepid.

Our kannada directors are so narrow minded and petty that they think the only way they can get kannada audiences to theaters is if they deny them other choices!
That's not just crude, but offensive to a person who grew up watching Kannada movies, learning in kannada medium, but watch good movies of all languages.
For them to tell me how to protect Kannada culture is arrogance unlimited!

Rajni is the real son of soil of Maharashtra who is No.1 in India today.This is acknowledged by Amitabh also.It is a surprise that Govt.of Maharashtra or none of the leaders from Maharashtra never talk of honouring a Maharashtrian who has achieved so much in his life.

Even 3 Idiots barely crossed 300 crore and Dabaang just around 250 crore. This Robot movie will cross 400 crore? Even if it crosses 150 crore it will be a record.
These guys dont know no facts . Hindi films have worldwide and pan India reach tamil films have only tamil nadu each and some expats in malaysia etc.
