First of all there is no such thing as Indian cinema. There is a hindi film industry and there are some equally strong regional film industries and all of them can not be considered together. Shahrukh is not popular even in Bihar and Karnantaka, forget Vienna and Berlin. The thing is, these firangis don't know anything about India. Their knowledge is based on what comes in the media and there shahrukh is the king. He gets such things written about him not only in the Indian media but also in the foreign media and keeps releasing his films where nobody else does. I wish others do the same. Once they see other actors, they will forget about this monkey.

U have missed out VinodKhanna, Devanand and ShammiKapoor in stars category, all among the most handsome stars ever in Indian film history. All three were hugely successful stars with some of the most successful films in Indian film history
SRK got only few comments for this article. lost his popularity every one knows it. Example he just got only 50 comments for this article. Rajni got 1000 comments for 4/5 diff articles here.
Interesting fact is Half bald head like Amitab,RAJNI are Shahenshah and King of Indian cinema.

who said sharukh is king of bollywood...please do not insult word king it does not suits sharukh....first of all he does not deserves to be an actor/hero....he just do (dikhawas)...we indians gave given him enough hype...a person like karan johar(the unwanted who looks like ga..) might vouch sharukh as an king...but 90 percent of indians vouch sharukh as an actor not king

He is real king of Bollywood Because of shah rukh khan Bollywood got so popular around the world. He gave lots of hits movies which make bollywood popular. Even Amitabh Bachan was there but he didnt

U are mistaken, it was in fact Amitabh Bachchan who made Indian films the power that it is today in the 1970s. He spread its glory in the Middle East, South EasT Asia, Europe, North America and made it the brand that it is today. SRK is more helped by today's technology and more media attention that has helped him etch a slot overseas. U cannot write down the contribution of Rajnikanth as well, he made Indian films a name to reckon with in Japan, China, Europe.

u talk about amithabh as actor. I don't think he is a great actor. It is just tht he is old and still acting in weird films like boom and paa. and u all call sholay a classic, which was just another bandit movie worse than many other of the same kind and went un noticed

If he is popular then Y he was stopped in US immigratio officers for security reasons. They don't know him much.
He is the worst actor and make comic of movies. Tell me one good performance. He can be a bollywood superstar. but RAJNI is the superstar of all Woods combined. The true Hero who is worshipped, celebrated, admired, adorned, etc. He's above all awards and recognitions. Thank god SRK did not sign Robot. Southies cannot watch any dubbing of SRK into southern languages, such a horrible actor. This century it is only RAJNI for India and in fact Asia.

rajni is a joker of a circus, he is not a star. srk is a global personality. he is best ever from bollywood. even Amitabh is far behind srk.

He may be, but Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan are the real superstars. And in acting, Aamir Khan is far ahead of SRK.
