Oh no. Let him stay there... in the blues. Otherwise he will be inspired to make more stuff like the melodramatic Black and pathetic Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.

Agreed Guzarish is not for the run of the mill kind of audience its for class and selected audience hence the box office performance is not surprising at all....
Its a creative cinema showcase for the art lovers

It was better acted and better directed than all those overhyped movies from the south, the so-called thought provoking cinema. Get out of your bubble and get a life

Well well... how did south Indian cinema come into the picture here?

And "overhyped" is a term you would be advised to use sparsely for south Indian cinema.

As for getting out of the bubble, thanks for the suggestion.

Now do you mind getting on with some informed discussion rather than indulge in rhetorical oneupmanship?

This is the mass mentality who have assigned a few media based intellectuals as representative of their own intelligence. Whatever these brainless intellectuals regurgitate in media, this horde of people start following with a chant of creativity/genius/blah blah blah. It is important to remember that simply being boring is not a measure of creativity. Bhansali makes boring movies in general and audience has given its verdict again and again. These brainless intellectuals label these boring movies as creative because they are paid by UTV and other corporate honchos who have their investment in these movies.

ASHA, IYER, WHAT MAKES YOU THINK YOU DO NOT BELONG TO THE DOWN CLASS AND CATTLE CLASS...I merely commented and opined about a cinema...whats your criteria?

More proof of what we humans are ..

Sick perverted minds, Feeding violence and sex for instant gratification. No wonder Scum and filth like dabaang and golmaal are devoured by these imbeciles. Oh and one more thing, looks like who ever hired rediff to geting their money's worth. Rediff is going all out to ensure that Guzaarish flops.

WHY YOU ARE JEALOUS ,ALWAYS ACCEPT THE PEOPLE'S VERDICT. WHAT COMMON MAN LIKES THEY WILL VIEW. PEOPLE NEVER ACCEPTED ASH'S FILMS BECAUSE EVEN AFTER SHE IS BEAUTIFUL, SHE LACKS ACTING.

Well well... and its not the sheer inability of movie-makers?

The difference between a Dabang and Guzarish is simple: The first is a straightforward masala film with no pretentions. The second is another masala flick with pretentions of high-brow grandeur. Anyday I would vote for Dabang.

There is no need to comment on the mentality of the majority. No wonder that these movies are a hit, which cater to these sensibilities. There are many films world over which cater to the "intelligent" community. So go watch what you want. Let others watch what they want. Its going to be this way. Take it or leave it. Why even bother to comment on films and articles which doesnt interest? Oh of course, to let everyone know that you are high-brow. Thats just it!
