Well there is nothing wrong in copying concept from foreign language films which are not so popular in India; I mean other than hollywood films; directors are free to copy any other language films; Some here argued that its copied from spanish film; who cares; how many of us saw spanish movies? Till it entertain us its fine; and if it does not entertain us then who cares from where its copied or whether its original;

Nicely said. This dud movie is not worth discussing and Bhansali should stop directing and become an assistant set-designer for some other new comer director.
Re: hey

Absolutely! Aishwarya sucks big time. Unfortunately she is a media creation who promoted her on behalf of other corporate investors who wanted to bet their money on Aishwarya-horse. She is like a "Post Turtle" and if you want to know what that means, you can either check on the web or ask me here. Rajni is an amazing person and a real superstar. Robot would have done similar/better business even with a totally new comer actress (at least in South and International market).

Get over rajni and mithun chakravarthy.. both may be great actors but make similar movies.. Don't compare guzaarish with Mithun and rajni movies..its like comparing chalk with cheese

if just 2 flops can end the careear of an actor of Hrithik's calibre then how come other over-rated 'superstars' like Akshay(7 flops in 2 years) and Salman(3 consecutive flops before Dabangg) are getting films regularly? I think ur unaware that in bollywood there's no end to a superstar irrespective of the no. of flops he gives.
Already people have so many problems,stresses and workloads in life so thats why I think maasses stayed away from depressing Guzaarish as people want to enjoy that day and come happy instead of watching depressed movie and start crying thats why it Flopped I guess. What do you think Guys about this ????????

Winning hearts and make them filled with Joy, happiness and smile is more important then winning Oscar; After all why so hype the Oscar just to win a award in category of foreign films; Lets be-aware that Oscar is for the hollywood films;

Guzarish is a copied & pretentious film.... but I don't understand this attitude of agains so called "art" films... slow? depressing?....why should every piece of celluloid be a marriage video?...
why do India audiences enjoy leaving their brain behind?...it's not good for the society...
Why so much discussion abt this ripped-off movie ??? Bhansali shamelessly ripped frm a spanish movie. As long as bollywood exists, no Indian movie will be appreciated world wide.

The movie name is "The Sea Inside". It is in Spanish (not English) and its original name is “Mar Adentro”. The lovers of cinema love this movie (irrespective of language) and relied on English subtitles. It encouraged me to learn more Spanish (I live in USA and already have learnt some Spanish) so that I can feel the movie as intended by the director, Alejandro Amenábar. The actor who played the main part, Javier Bardem, is one of the finest in world. He acted in recently released "Eat Pray Love" of Julia Roberts. I read in media that Bhansali had told that Hrithik was his first and last choice for this role. I feel pity for Bhansali as a director if he had meant his criteria being the suitability of acting prowess for the role. I believe it was because he wanted to cash on Hrithik/Aishwarya popularity at that time (soon after Dhoom-2 and Jodha Akbar) and UTV was ready to invest their money only on the basis of Hrithik/Aishwarya. It is pathetic that so called genius directors have no sense of even picking the right actors for the role (at least he picked and stole a good story).
I cursed this film to be biggest flop of the century. this will be good lesson for the lead pair and companies like UTV who blindly sign losers to make films and pay them 15CR, hahahahahahahah

@Hindustani You please go and watch some bengali art films by Satyajit ray; you will find enjoyment there; Everyone has his own choice; but the film fate depends on what maximum people wants to see

Rightly said. It is important that these so called genius directors/actors, promoted by corporate house using media, get the taste of reality. The reality is that Bhansali and Aishwarya suck. Hrithik is a great dancer and he tries hard to act well. I hope he starts selecting directors who can feel India and show India as it is.

This is the mass mentality who have assigned a few media based intellectuals as representative of their own intelligence. Whatever these brainless intellectuals regurgitate in media, this horde of people start following with a chant of creativity/genius/blah blah blah. It is important to remember that simply being boring is not a measure of creativity. Bhansali makes boring movies in general and audience has given its verdict again and again. These brainless intellectuals label these boring movies as creative because they are paid by UTV and other corporate honchos who have their investment in these movies

He should loose so much money now by this film that he does not have money to make films in future. He put beard on hrithik's face in this film, therefore hrithik looks like a lunatic(just like bhansaali).

hrithik got admitted to hospital when he sniffed that this film has bombed. poor chap...he is suffering due to crazy bhansali.

HAAA... Goodone Also WHO is the next actor to be trapped and hospitazied in sanjay lela bansali next film
Well written stories, which have a message and which are well written with sensitive potrayal of the charcters by all the actors, dont find takers in India. I dont know if we are intelectually challenged, or we chose to be so. We have made great strides in technology,9 pc growth and what not, but continue to support loud, unfunny escapist stuff filled with crude jokes,vulgarity and hyper dance moves. Even the so called classes or the multiplex audience prefer watching the above, rather than the likes of firaq,mnik etc.

So true. Films like Guzaarish are way beyond Indian sensibilities. We just don't have it in us to understand such fine cinema. Indian cinema is all abour crass, not class.

Why to follow what WEST has set a standard for us and then displaying the false happiness; why not follow your heart and enjoy what we like; Yes we do like hyper dances, songs etc so whats wrong; Lets enjoy ourself and not show the enjoyment for the sake of making the WEST happy.
