No movies could be hit/flop in just 2 days. This moron Vinod is trying to churn out false propoganda against Raavan. Rediff is only biased towards KJohars dramas, akshays zip openers than classics like this film.

Don't forget Priyadarshan who in my opinion is the best director in the country and he is not from the north.

While I wouldn't be right in commenting on the south folks doing Hindi movie or the vice-versa - First of all, get rid of that Hindian attitude. It should be Indian. why would you guys always make a big deal about Hindi? I don't understand. Every language has its own beauty. At the least, who doesn't want to earn Money. Also, There are Hindian (as you call) ppl who come and sing Tamil / Telugu /South Indian language songs - which is even more pathetic.

Only uneducated and stupid directors know what movies to make for the cattle of North India. I dont expect other film makers to stoop so low to make meaningless idiotic movies for stupid North Indians. LOL

I agree with you 100%. These regional directors make Hindi movies only to earn quick buck. And when their movie flops, they let out their frustration on the viewers. How come Prakash Jha movies are being liked by Hindian people? Because they can connect to those movies. It is the greed of non-Hindi directors which is forcing them to make such silly movies which will flop without a doubt...

Its lesson for directors that mere roping in pseudo great actors will not bring in fortune. People are smart enough not to accept films only on star value.

Mani should have learnt this lesson from Dil Se which was a utter flop. A worthy comment to this film was Dil Se is without Dimak. Now his wife Suhasini, will comment that the people of india does not understand and so on. This is inspite of rigorous promotion of the film in media and by the actors in many arenas.

I am sure all lead actors are not like wiser Rajinikanth who once his film flops, return back the money to the producer/distributor. Will Ash and Abhishek set an example in Bollywood? Never.

Hindus are such shameless creatures that, they neither respect their parents nor their religion. I have said in the past that the real enemy for Hindus are none other than Hindus.
Does Mani or any other Directors have guts to take such a film bent on religious scriptures of other religion?
The nation will burn. Its not nice to keep the name as nice. It will be nice if your feeling is also nice.

Yes you are right

Also the fact the heading says flop and inside it says avg.

a phoonk..no of weeks 10 and it displays as flop..

It seems it was time for rediff to publish the flop films and hence have added the recent films rajneeti and Raavan.

For the amount of hype it received, Ravanan/Ravan seems to be a let down. A star studded cast cannot always carry off a weak storyline. Audience want to be captivated and transported to another realm for the two/three hours of a movie. If any film fails to do this, it bombs, regardless of star value.

Even God doesnt know what kind of movies Hindi people watch. Because their brains are more complex than Einstein.
They dont watch serious movies or entertainers, action or drama, low budget or big budget.
Put a loser like SRK or Salman on screen removing his shirt and thrusting his pelvis towards the audience and they will be entertained. Useless duffers.

Roy, this issue was started first by a Hindian (as he called himself - althought not in this thread). What Raju has writen is wrong. But do you think the North South has gone together well after so many years.. ? Unfortunately no and I wish that be resolved :-) Well there are individual rapo's between south and north ppl. But in the larger dimension its not is my inference.
