It is not remake, it similar. But it has got twist, which make the story different. Dont be sentimental and tell it is insult to Lord Ram, it is just story you should not take it seriously

A RAAVAN Hit not flop

Why ? people dont like Abhishek Bachchan. I think Like him even Mr.AMitabh Bachchan haven't face situtation. He is Millenium Star Kid even if he is struugling too. Just because of us people. This Raavan Was not so good But it was good. u all might hv seen the climax, in the u all might hv nt guessd wt is going to be happen, u might hv thought VIKRAM left ASH. But that was a trick to gtet RAAVAN. superb climax.

we should praise Mr.Abhishek Bachchan the way he is trying to build himself and he is trying to build his own power, that shud be praised by us.

Yaar Give him time dont overburden him. He has already proved in sarkar yuva guru and much more.
PLEASE , One request by me to you all.

Mr.Abhishek Sharma dont request people to"Give him time " or to 'praise Mr.Abhishek Bachchan' and what do u mean by "dont overburden him".
Respect and love for an actor comes naturally and fans die for their favorite actors. and all this come naturally. All your will not work if an actor is not talented. We audience have given him ample opportunity but this AB baby knows no acting, face total expression less. How long he can survive on his fathers financial support?? Now as audience i want to say dont burden us more with his movies.

People- Let common sense prevail here, The film is released only on friday and its hardly 3 days, tell me how many people have watched the movie in India, simple math here. Even if there are 600 prints in India (assume) 600* 4 shows* 3 days- Avg 500 people per show. Hardly 3% of the total population would have watched the movie and what!! Fate is decided... Remember even sholay had bad opening when it released..Take some time and review may be after 2 weeks.

Sholay was in different era..
in current era...2 weeks are too long for ppl to forget anything..
if its a good movie, it had to pick from first show.. otherwise, there aren't any hopes

Raavan - Nothing to save it

Well, the word has spread. And it is not in favour of the film.Bad mouth publicty .. further foing to damage the prospects of the film. Nothing more than what it could deserve .. and all the more ... the end is a blunder .. by killing Beera.. Beautiful locales, excellent camerawork.. just does not suffice .. to invite audience and its appreciation .. One is disappointed .. at the final product ...

A great director uses minimum resources in story telling and gives the best to his audience taking control of the film, not banking on the cinematographer, whereas Maniratnam has always depended on Camera, Music and some gimmicks more than the story and the narration, post Roja...even before that he has repeated the scenes of his first film Pallavi Anupallavi in almost all the films after that until he got exhausted of those scenes and we call him a great director!!!

Hit or Flop

Can anybody tell me in what basis it is decided that a movie is hit or flop.

Here, I can see a movie running for just 2 weeks is termed hit, where as a movie running for 10 weeks is termed flop.

The movie is not running for 10 weeks, it is 10 weeks old, it may be or may not be running anymore
