Neither the Constitution of India nor Indian law specifies a National language. Languages listed in the Eighth Schedule of the Indian constitution are sometimes called as the national languages of India. Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, etc make the list. Hindi is the OFFICIAL language and English is the secondary official language.
One more tamil foolish movie. Wasted 150 rs and precious time.Once again i really feel cheated for the bloody hype. This has happened for the 4th time . First it was shivaji then dashvataram then bheema and now ravan.
Its hightime people especially tamil folks wake up to the tactics of our stupid tamil film industry. They are hyping stupid movies and fooling all of us again and again.
They have restricted all other language movies and are forcing tamil people to watch only these crazy movies. All foolish tamil movies are becoming superhit for namesake because of no competition and not because of any greatness.Since all other language movies are restricted our people have no choice other than to watch these crap tamil movies. This, our folks are projecting as a strength by our self declared legends in tamil filmland who are basically there to fool tamil public.
It outright stupidity of our people to keep supporting this idiotic legends and in the process our theaters are going bankraupt.
Time has come to open for competion in tamilnadu. We cannot be eating rice sambar all along and all other state people enjoy good movies from everywhere. Competion can only improve things in kollywood.

Guys pl watch Vikram in role of Raavan, u know the difference and will know why people in Tamilnadu say the movie is good. So never be inside a bowl and assume that Tamilians will always support Tamil. Come out and see the acting difference in both. Vikram has said that they both were not at the shooting spot when one edition was going. ManiRathnam dint encouraged them to watch each other acting in the same role for two editions. They both were together only for the Hindi version scenes when they both have to be on screen for last and few scenes before.
I saw Hindi Raavan yesterday and Tamil Raavanan today. All I can say is Hindi version is good and Tamil version is awesome. In the league of LOTR & Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. If Ash was horrible in Hindi version, she is amazing in Tamil version. Vikram was wasted in Hindi version but in Tamil version; your heart goes out to him. "Raavanan" shows the awesome talent of Indian cinema, in every aspect. But, going by the sheer number of anti-Raavanan comments on this site, I wonder if it is a calculated attempt to ruin the commercial success of the movie? Maybe some insecure film producer-actor group is behind these pouring out of negative comments?
Vikram tops in his acting ability. Don't think Mani needs so much of Aish cleavage to gross for his film !! Technically a superb film. Must see only on theatres.
