Indian media keep chanting Hollywood and 'Bollywood' in the same breath and keep trying to draw parallels.

It is as comical as talking about an elephant and a dung beetle in comparative tones !

While Hollywood long been the supreme epitome of everything Bollywood desires to be, Hollywood is largely unaware of even the existence of 'Bollywood' !!!

I'm an Avid movie goer and i have seen lots of International movies for the last 25 Years. Since 1995 lots of films are going for CGI effects in movies, so the Hero is become unimportant. And lots of Video Games and Novels got Picturized through this CGI Crap. Becasue of that now people only wanted to see HUGE CGI craps with bad acting. As always they will bored of this type of film making and they will go back to the Actors and Acting based movies.

Sir, even our Tamil movies have become "gore" palayams. How about bringing back your yesteryear gravitas back on screen with some taut domestic/marital arts movies instead of "martial" arts movies. Call me at 9790791074, willing to work on a script as a sounding board without sounding "bored." Dr. Navinkumar N

Yes you are right..CGI rules now..

But dont forget, in the middle of all these madness, movies like 500 days of summer and paranormal activity are becoming hits..

I believe if a movie is made with good story line and decent actors, it can still hit the bulls eye, even with out any of these over produced craps...

No one can be in the limelight all the time. All stars fade away slowly once their prime is gone.

That is true. But what the article meant but failed to illustrate was that stars are not able to open movies like they could earlier. There is no single star who can guarantee an opening currently. Will Smith, probably. But it has been too long since his last release.
