I don't know about this one
by Muhammad Mullick on Jul 11, 2010 09:19 PM

One one hand, I agree that Nicole Kidman has been a disappointment these past years with Australia, Nine and that stupid zombie invasion movie that made my brain hurt...of course she's in the next Adam Sandler movie with Jeniffer Aniston (Just Go With It)...so that seems worth looking forward to, Julia Roberts seems to be relatively solid...Charlie Wilson's War did pretty well considering its genre and Valentine's Day made well over 100 million dollars domestically (over double its budget). Adam Sandler's current movie (Grown Ups) will break 100 million dollars by tomorrow and Jim Carrey's last movie (Yes Man) made close to 100 million dollars. Tom Hanks had always been dependable wiht his box office while Mel Gibson probably just put the final nail in the coffin of his carreer with The Edge of Darkness doing badly and his current racist misogynistic rant. Tom Cruise is...well...Tom Cruise...he can go from a Tropic Thunder to a MI-3 stumble with a Knight and Day and bouce back with his next Vanilla Sky or Magnolia type picture. Whoever wrote this article sriously needs to sit down and look at the trends, target audiences and actual box-office receipts before putting up his articles...if not him then at least the editor should check the facts.

Valentine's Day is a hit
by pradeep menon on Jul 11, 2010 05:44 PM

I think the writer got it wrong as far as valentine day is concerned he says its a dismal flop, but this movie grossed more than 120 million at the US BOX OFFICE AND WORLDWIDE CHEk bOX OFFICE Mojo for statistics, and is considered a hit, besides Julia Roberts was part of a huge cast in that film,so even if it was a flop it would have pulled down all top stars who starred in it.
