malayalee filmmakers who boast of making good movies must watch antaheen..and learn to write more meaningful and less dramatic scripts. Films like pazhassi raja a historcal was made a drama by MT and Hariharan. everyone of today's malayalam films are full of drama (exaggerated plots and overworked emotions) and silly comedy. bengalees have really shown good quality cinema .jai bangla

one more thing. never underestimate drama movies. Most of the oscar nomination movies usually will be drama. Even most international awards favors drama. It doesnt mean other catagory movies should be given awards.
Great to see Priyanka win....Fashion was a great film and Bhandarkar should have got an award as well.Kangana was fantastic as well. Bollywood slowly making its mark, and moving away from fantasy karan johar stuff to hard hitting stuff like Fashion. Rock on was fab too
These actors have not yet won a national award and non actors like Arjun Rampal have won it. National awards have become a joke since the day they awarded Saif for best actor in Hum Tum when SRK was nominated same year for Swades. It must have been just a mere coincidence that Sharmila Tagore was censor board chief then!!!

Agree.I always thought that commercial cinema has enough awards and ceremonies and Indian National Awards are meant to celebrate and award real and outstanding talents . Fashion was a medicore movie and Priyanka Chopra acting was medicore too. The movie wasn't a commerical success.It hadn't any artistic value too. Didn't do well in box office. Wasn't more artiscically built . Indeed real actores and movie makers have been ignored in this award too? Really Indian cinema is becoming confused and I guess that if Rai were alive and working now , he would stay totally ignored and forgotten.
