MNIK release: Disrupted in Gujarat, smooth in Delhi, sell-out in
by Hirendra Chatterjee on Feb 12, 2010 03:04 PM  | Hide replies

It is shocking that the entire media, the Maharashtra Government, the law and order infrastructure of the state and even the Union Home Ministry should devote their total energies to ensuring that a film by SRK runs in the cinema halls of Mumbai. I can understand that the media has been purchased by SRK and CO., but should the honest tax payers money be spent so recklessly to ensure that the film is screened in cinema halls? Where was the Congress and the UPA when the lower middle class Bihari children were beaten up by MNS goons for daring to write Railway examinations in Mumbai? This is a total disgrace and will boomerang on the powers that be. SRK is an opportunist. He is being wrongly depicted as an upholder of democratic traditions.

Dear Friend, this is not a protection to an SRK film, but protection to freedom of expression which you have just practised!

Shame on the Indian Government!!
by ANANDH RAVI on Feb 12, 2010 03:00 PM

It is the shame that the Indian government is not taking severe action on the Sainiks and the Gujarat hindu extremists. I was born a Hindu and still am a Hindu by culture and not by religion. SRK is a fellow citizen and I support him in toto. Sena or any religious extremist that stops Indians from pursuing their profession in a righteous manner should be banned totally and declared as terrorist organisation. Indians should support SRK thoroughly on this issue.
