MNIK starts like a movie, slowly turns into a documentry and ends in a farce. Overall it's an OK watch.
SRK has acted like a mentally retarded but his character was supposed to be intelligent so director named it a disease called Asperger's syndrome. The story is not convincing as such. It moves slowly and you feel it is bit too long. Some sequences like SRK joining flooded village looks funny.
What works is good acting by all supporting actors and good screenplay.
If you are not a SRK fan then you can give it a miss. Otherwise it is a one time watch. Don't go by these sold out reviewers and their stars. 3-idiots is uncomparably better than this.
nothing new in story...we've already seen a bunch of movie based on this same subject... Newyork is the recent example... 2nd half too lengthy & could be edited..Performace wise SRK excellent. Never lost his focus..throughout mervelous..I will remember Kajol's crying on her son's death..It was tremendously touching..hat's off to one of the most talented actress of indian film history...1 time watch
