To promote his film on muslim profiling after 9/11, actor Shahrukh Khan recently claimed on a British show with Jonathan Ross that he got full body scanned at airport in England recently and given printout of his scanned image to sign.
Appearing on the BBC chat show, Khan made these allegations about supposed experiences with the new body-scanners, that were introduced at Heathrow on the orders of the UK government in the wake of the transatlantic Christmas Day terror attack on a plane as it neared Detroit in USA.
Well it turns out Shahrukh Khan may have been lying.
The British Airport Authority spokesperson said Shah Rukh Khan's claims were “completely factually incorrect” because the body-scanning equipment did not have any capability to print images in the first place, let alone for passengers. The images captured by the equipment were recorded for the moment of security scan and did not get sent into printers for passengers like Khan to even look at, let alone sign.
This follows the incident last year when Khan was slammed for last August alleged incident where he alleged he was detained for questioning at Newark Liberty Airport near New York City and harassed because 'his name was Khan'.
