Not to mention the movie, 127 hrs from an even more crappier, dumb danny boyle which is about a man who cuts off his hands to survive - based on a true story ! Yuck. No match for dabangg. who the hell wants to rack one's brains, esp when they are missing ! Smirk, smirk.

He got Oscar just bcos the film maker was a white skinned Briticher. More over his music can be rated as 3 out of 10. very poor. his Jai ho does not even tickle your soul. either he should improve or just leave the music world.
But competitions like Miss World or Oscars do not hold any value these days.
If the Oscar committee is convinced a composer from China with a bigger population which can be marketed among a billion idiots easily they would go with the song, ahead Rahman.
That Jai Ho song is not even anywhere near Rahman's best numbers to be contention for Oscars, same for If I rise.
Its the metrosexual modern Indian population and spoilt school kids that drive the lobby through the internet polls.
A fame again if Rahman some how sneaks Oscars back. He's a nice guy and he would deserve for some great works he has done in his career.

This guy is highly over-rated. His music is very ordinary and repetitive. Every music director has a few good numbers in their career and he is no special. For awards you have to catch hold of a good lobbyist.

Common Weath song is not being judged for the Oscar, m.o.r.o.n.... Its the music from 127 Hours (not sure if you have even heard to it) which is being nominated. Stop your nonsense!
