Smita, a great actress.

Smita's walk to the gallows was electrifying in KA Abbas film naxalite.
An everyday bathing scene at a slum water tap in Chakra, so sensuos.
A fiery Smitha in Mirch Masala, so pwerful
When Smita was around, even Sabna Azmi performed better. There was a sought of healthy competition between them.

Very great actress, one of our finest ever. She was superb in all gamuts of emotion. She particularly gelled with Amitabh Bachchan apart from Raj Babbar. She and AB made quite a pair, they looked great in SHAKTI.

One of the only actresses to come onscreen without make up. An awesome actor as well. She was awesome in Chidambaram. That was the only film she acted in Malayalam, under the one and only peerless Aravindan

by Gaurav Maheshwari on Dec 13, 2010 06:04 PM

I remember her as she had worked vd celebs like Amitabh Bachhan,Rajesh Khanna,Raj Babbar etc. etc. Being a soft spoken & cute actress she still remembered when we see her movies. Reading her news at this moment recalled her face as well as the way she acted in films.

Loved her acting, loved her as a person. I remember seeing many of her wonderful movies. Was fortunate enough to attend her funeral and pay my respects to her..
