I have chosen Laxmi-Pyare pair as the best because this duo was constantly giving best music from 1962 till 1998.36 years non stop musical career was not possible for any music director.Every music director career is hardly 10-15 years but this pair lasted till 36 nonstop years.Hence L-P pair was the best for me Secondly I like music of SD Burman more than RD Burman. I have rated Madan Mohan much before RD Burman because Madan mohan's music was remembered even though the films were flop.In the earlier days, music directors were contracted with movie production companies.Like SD and RD Burman with Navketan films,Shankar Jaikishan with RK Films,Dilip Kumar used to insist Naushad as music director for his films,Kalyanji Anandji were recommended for Manoj Kumar,Rajesh Khanna etc films whereas Madanmohan used to give music for films mostly with B grade actors but still his music was a masterpiece. The other music directors were into limelight only because of hit films due to top actors but unfortunately MadanMohan remained unsung hero inspite of his quality.Right from his first film Aankhen till his Last film Mausam, his quality remained same. In modern times music, only Jatin Lalit is best.AR Rahman comes next only because his quality is degrading nowadays(right from the movie slumdog millionare)

I think Madan Mohan was the best of all. i do not agree that AR Rehman is degrading cause he was never that good. His best work was in Roja and Bombay ( which was average music ) slumdog was a flop show i am surprised how it got nominated even.

everyone is ultimately human. We made them legends. Human beings all over the world may differ socially, but individually, we are pretty much the same with our primal instincts of survival and domination guiding us.
