Look in the snap, some lecher marathi van-maanus ogling at girls and laughing out at the trouble they created and earned a place in hell.
Rediff you should also post the hatred that Raj-Uddhav effect created for marathi in the rest of the India. No wonder rest of the India gonna kick their b0lls if they barge out from mumbai.

And why would a 'hindi speaking Northie' be going to watch a Marathi film? Think before you post. Hahahahaha!

The fact is, you don't know who the letch is either northie/southie/marathie -- unless you claim marathis don't watch hindi films, which is a lie. Keep your prejudice in your pants.
A simple reason why multiplexes dont run certain movies, marathi or non marathi is because they dont make businesss sense. If there is a big budget marathi film, which can promise masses buying tickets... they'll put it up. The issue is not with marathi and non marathi movies. The issue is the dadagiri in the name of language and regionalism. Ask Raj and Uddhav how many Marathi movies they've really watched in the last 10 years, compared to the Hindi movies at their home theaters!
bcos no major hindi movies release during ramzan month and theatres are empty. This aritlce is given by multiplex owners to make T cousins happy. They will slowly remove regional films when big releases come. U see n tell

raj thakerey? intelligent? i agree with you calling yourself a moron.
I think raj and Uddhav are trying what happens in all other states .In Hyderabad we can see Teleugu movies, in Chennai tamil, In Banglore kannada movies, in Thiru we can see Malayalam movies. So what is wrong if Raj/Uddhave is forcing this.without force its not possible because Bollywood base is bombay . marathi film industry is on verge of extinction if this steps are not taken it will finish. We should have equal promotion of regional films like bollywood movies , as bollywood films have money power , regional movies need at least political power . What you say guys

Andhra ppl didn't force anyone ever to show Telugu movies!!
The thing is that so many Marathi ppl know Hindi that they r ok watching Hindi movies..which is not the case in South. If u run only Hindi movies in the South, theatres will make losses!
bcos the local films except south have fallen in quantity and quality over the years. This encouragement will create employment and creativity in local people. I also believe the local films are more close to reality and convey emotions of local people.

its not like that any one work for any language. e.g. Sonu Nigam can sing for gujarati film. only no of ppl working will increase if regional film finds audience. Then u never know when talent like AR Rehman can born.

yes, and the bollywood should shift to hyd or new delhi. Then you will know what employment is. Jokers..

ur assumption that screening of few local films like oriya, bengali, gujarati, punjabi in respective states will destroy bollywood is wrong. I think hollywood movies coexist very well with bollywood. Infact multiplexes will benefit as during weekdays halls are empty, few movies more screen and this may bring many more viewers.
Next in line would be adding Marathi Language on TV channels..many shows on TV come with option for Hindi or Tamil or Telgu language...soon they will be forced to show it in Marathi as well...
Imagine watching Discovery in Marathi or Any cartoon show :))

Don't you know? Already Discovery Channel, Cartoon Network, Nickelodon TV are available in regional languages like Tamil, Telugu. My father watched all those documentries in Tamil commetry.

It will be really good , marathi people who cant understand English will be able to see/understand great programs by discovery channel. I think this idea didnt enetered Raj's mind . Can someone take some trouble
Marathi 'Plays' (natak) are amongst the top in the country. But not so much when it comes to films. Part of the reason could be because of bollywood industry along side. And also becasue not much seems to get invested in the songs unlike bollywood and south indian movies. But good to see things improving...
