They did bring mughal culture but I am sure you are kidding when you say India was barbaric in pre-mughal period. We had trade links as far as mesopotamia and had already invented zero. I am sure you didn't think before writing your comment.

mugals were only good cooks and were totally illetrates..even today one can see their decendents begging on streets..they were far away from modern education..but yes..good non veg cooks,barbers,cobblers,tailors etc..

those who you see as cooks and cobblers were ones who ur forefathers were paying tributes to.
mughals turned india into a superpower of its age. the flourishing of arts culture language cuisine that india posesses today come from that. the influence is everywhere in architecture taj mahal, lal qila that still draw revenue for india, language that makes bollywood popular,cuisine as u admitted, even the dresses like salwar kameez etc come from that era. the imprint left is all pervasive and u can't escape it, if u look closely.

Fool, we're talking of the Movie here, not Mughals. Everybody in the World knows what shit Mughals did; so stop blabbering. Let's talk of directors like K. Asif, Abbas, Bimal Roy, Guru Dutt, Satyajit Ray instead who have done something so glorious of which even 1/4th is done by today's crop, will be credible.
one can watch this movie for a million times. not another movie in the history of indian cinema came close to mughal-e-azam. (Correction, there are 4 dialogue writers in this movie, not just 2

There were many better periodical, hystorical, mythological movies in South India by NTR, ANR etc. This is just another case of Hindi domination and propaganda

yes..i have heard this movie has soothing qualities and is being shown on experimental basis in several hospitals to treat insomnia. Soon CBI will show this movie again and again to suspects instead of going for narco analysis etc.

SHOLAY was a classic but so is Mughal-e-Azam. The music in the Mughal is far better than that of Sholay..
