Poor movie
by man on Aug 05, 2010 12:19 PM  | Hide replies

Its a boring movie. Waste of time in watching this. 50 years back people liked to watch boring movies like this. Hence it became hit. If the same movie was done today , it would have flopped within 1 day. Sholay is all time classic. This movie cannot even reach near it.

Probably it goes above your head.Mughal-e-Azam was made in chaste urdu, and all songs contain poems in urdu.Sorry boss please watch Sholay all time.By the way the dialogue of Sholay was written by Salim-Javed.This should change your mind now about writing any positive comments about the movie. You understand I hope.

Sholey and Mughal-E-Azam are both different One is a gangster movie the other is a historic epic
Both are very good in their own way and both can not be compared.

when a picture becomes hit
by sunny India on Aug 05, 2010 12:02 PM

When a picture becomes a commercial hit, lot of stories come up. When a quality picture does not click commercially, all forgotten.

Mughal-e-Azam is an all time classic

I have yet to see a love story being told in an epic fashion and grandeur in Hindi, like Moghul-e-azam.

Before Jodha, akbar,is mentioned, Mughal-e,azam,was made in the B/w era with limited resources and finances.

Hence it is a timeless masterpiece!!

yes..i have heard this movie has soothing qualities and is being shown on experimental basis in several hospitals to treat insomnia.
Soon CBI will show this movie again and again to suspects instead of going for narco analysis etc.

There have been few such films Anarkali, Taj Mahal, Razia Sultan, etc.

Obviously, none of them had the finance which Mughal e Aazm had, hence the difference.

Better ones in South
by MM on Aug 05, 2010 11:11 AM  | Hide replies

There were many better periodical, hystorical, mythological movies in South India
by NTR, ANR etc. This is just another case
of Hindi domination and propaganda

Problem is bias. India has
many languages, why to project only this as best Indian cinema by the media?

No, the problem is your inferiority complex.

Why do you have a complex?

Even Bengal has its share of great films, periodic love stories, but people don't jump guns of regional jingoism.

Grow up and talk to the point.

Problem in India is that there is a laugauage called'urdu' confused with the name 'uindi'.If the dialogue is written in urdu and the songs are written in chaste urdu by poets why this is called a Hindi film.Do we mean 'film made in Hind (india)?
There are only two kinds of films made.
"films made in urdu about hindus / films made in urdu about muslims.
Mughal-e-azam falls in the latter category.
