My kannad ppl dont watch the Kannad movies in (atleast in my office). How many rural ppl do know abt Sudha Murthy ? Or is the producer trying to hook urban audiences with a guest role frm this writer?

There is already a law as per which multiplex owners must show 40% Kannada movies. So they are forced to show more kannada movies than there is demand.

lota, just stop spreading fake, stupid messages, there is nothing like that. If what you say is true, then a multiplex like PVR would not have screend many Kannada movies that are running for more than 50, 100 days and even for any year. Its only bcoz of people like you with cowdung in the head who spread lies. Coming to the Classical language status, Proud state flag, Great Art, Actors, IT... whats your problem? why make a sarcastic dig at it, when there are proofs and evidences for that??? First try to be rational, making a dig or joke on any language actually shows how cultureless you and your clan are

Is media reading the news that they have published? Media is always seen Marathi bashing and now suddenly they find a story worth publishing where a well-known person is contributing to an effort to save her Native language?
And what an irony, Sudha Murthy happens to be a Maharashtrian from Kolhapur who has adapted so well to her new home. She has so well adapted that she is now seen as a Kannadiga Ikon who can help save the Kannada decline. Such is a Maharashtrian, will gel well with the locals wherever he/she goes. Unlike many other Indian communities who come to Maharashtra and want to convert this place into their home state.

Sudha is from Karnataka and not from Maharashtra.Kannada is much much older than marathi langauge which is not having it's own script.Most brahmins in maharashtra follow Udupi's Uttaradi Math styles.

She is from Savalagi and her father is also from Savalagi, in Bagalkot district(near Jhamkhandi). Her father was a doctor and moved to Hubballi later. Please get your facts correct. Also there are 2 sets of people, good and bad. Good people not only from Maharastra but other neighbouring states are well integrated with Kannada language , cultur and Land. But at the same time there are few countable people in Belgaum and Khanapur who bring bad name to whole marathi people. It's up to individual where we want to fit.

She is as much from Colapur in Maharashtra as much as Sachin is from Gulbarga in Karnataka.

Sudha's father happens to be a deshastha while her mother is a kannadiga.Her grandfather narayan rao melgiri was a leading kannadiga advocate and her husband is a kannadiga too.Added to that she is a kannada writer.Jus bcoz she happens to know marathi does not make her a maharashtrian.

You ganw_anrs & chich_oras can't even speak basic English. And Hindi ALSO is so fuggin pirated. Mythili, bhojpuri, awadhi, braj etc etc tainted is what i mean. So we are trying to see if at least making kannad mandatory will make you phukre-log write some error free codes. Yes CODES and not programmes cuz we will write them and give it to unpadhs like you to do some run-of-the-mill codification.

A good step. We need to understand the need of saving our language and culture. We are fortunate enough to have veriety of languages and cultures. We must work for saving all these. I am a non-Kannad and I invite those who can help us establish Spoken Kannada classes in Delhi.Delhi needs such center.As true Indian we can work to strengthen our language and culture.I request Murty like to people to help us in this issue.
