"The Messenger" directed by Oren Moverman is a much better film than Hurt Locker. Watch "The Messenger" to understand the real pain of war. Hurt locker merely glorifies an american soldier.

It is a very bad film, a disjointed film, a film with no story. There were two war films in contention for best picture oscar. In one, Avatar, some long tailed aliens were the good guys and americans were the bad guys. The long tailed aliens won. In Hurt Locker, the americans were the good guys and everyone else was bad. Guess which film won all the oscars? It is all just propaganda.

Why do all movies need to have a specific story.there was a hero,a villian,heroine etc etc..Even though the portrayal of functioning of bomb disposal squads may be questionable,hurt locker is one of the best films of last year.worth a watch
Just because it got some oscars does not mean its a good movie... it had no story ..a couple of incidents with US soldiers.and they showed US soldiers to be angels.and thats why it got the oscars.I have seen better made Hindi Movies.
neither did it have any message. avatar was better.
HurtLocker is a good movie. But Avatar must have got more oscars. The direction of HL was good only at parts. Anyways kudos for a woman director who took it to such extent

Buddy..its an excellent movie. If you are loking for realistic cinema..this is it. Trust me you wont be dissapointed

Once u are in the first 5 min of the movie You will realise that uve got somethin interesting in ur hand.Watch it.Good movie
