all the best...
by Jabir Koya on Nov 22, 2009 09:15 PM

the producers need to be just too lucky to save their money. This review tries to insult your intelligence probably more than the movie tried to. It's carefully disguised to appear 'fair' but gives itself away to the reader in its attempt to actually promote this stupid film. I have not seen Kurbaan, but definitely won't after reading this review.
Rediff, do you get the message?

Kurbaan continues to fall badly on saturday - verdict - FLOP

Kurbaan – Box-office Sacrifice Continues•November 22, 2009 • 1 Comment
Kurbaan spells negativity from first day itself, refuse to pick up on Saturday and heading for 10-11 Crore NETT weekend. Business dips on Saturday, however Sunday is better occupied and should fare better. But weekdays steep fall is inevitable and first week should finish at 15 Crore range.

2012 saw another spellbinding weekend(Approx. 5 Crore [ excluding sunday]) and no wonder if this movie find its place over biggest hits of 2009.

Ajab prem Ki Gazab Kahani is rock steady with quite lesser screenings. Third weekend should be in 3-4 Crore range.

Why not Bangladeshis ??????
by Cool Mahesh on Nov 22, 2009 03:00 PM | Hide replies

With only premature investigations of today's blast, our politicians, investigating agencies & media have concluded that the bomb blasts were carried out by ULFA.
But in other attacks they take time to reveal to the people that the attacks were carried out by m@zzies.
How can they overlook Bangladeshi j-i-h-a-d-i-s's role in these blasts ????
This needs to be investigated.

I’m at a friend’s cabin for the weekend. The same cabin I was at the day I made my very first post way back in July. Nostalgic!

Crap!
by anirudh vyas on Nov 22, 2009 02:44 PM

I always cringe on my seat when I watch any KJo's drama sequence and twists and turns.
it was not there in this flick but it wasn't good too...
A fundamental problem with his films is that characters never look real.
Same is the case here... Kareena never looks like a professor nor does Saif a terrorist.
the movie is full of stereotypes.
A good thing about this movie is that romance and marriage is wrapped up in first 15 mins to allow actual story to unfold but what you get later are expected sequences.
Except a few good dialogues the story is bland and director or actor can not do much to save the film.

Honest, Unbiased review of Kurbaan
by hi hi on Nov 22, 2009 02:19 PM  | Hide replies

Am 100% sure had this movie included some not so famous stars, it would have been an utter flop inspite of having such a good storyline and the execution of it. But thx to Saifeenas hot bedroom scene and an outstanding title track, most of the usual cine goers who dnt see beyond brainless comedies/action, skin shows and good music in d movies will go for it unaware of an intense, gripping storyline and dialogues which of course would bore them to death... Kurbaan is a serious movie based on terrorism (reality) and according to me much better than New York (which is not a bad movie either). So if u belong to d former class of cine goers plz wait for Radio, Dan Dana Dan.....
