that again shows that good never finishes first. i am die hard fan of betty and her persona. she remains ideal for every boy and every family. sassy girl like veronica may fit role of girl friend but not as wife. archie is fool enough to go for ms lodge and remain hen pecckd husband for rest of his life.
Just for clarification : The Batman R.I.P storyline in DC was a tie-in to the "Final Crisis" event, in which the Batman (Bruce Wayne) is finally killed by a god-like entity called Darkseid. Final Crisis issue 6's last page shows Superman holding up Batman's corpse in his hand. As for Archie - he made a poor choice. Betty loves her too much and Archie sometimes reciprocates her feelings. Moreover Archie is a teenager, I am not sure entirely, but can teenagers marry in America ???

Batman is not really dead. The Omega Sanction beams that darkdeid hit him with makes him live through parallel worlds and timelines where he lives more painful existance than previous again and again. At the rpesent he is trapped in the Pre-Historic past age. ALSO IT SEEMS THAT BATMAN'S DESTINY IS NOT TO DIE AND ATTAIN MOKSH or heaven or hell. His destiny is to be reborn again as Bruce Wayen and witness thye tragedy of his parents murder and keep playing Batman in every incarnation in some parallel time of or place. Check Neil Gaiman's parting 2 parter that follows Final Crisis before the Battle For The Cowl begins. He will be revived and refused to life in a year or two definately.

Hi Vikas, Let's take this discussion offline mate. It's great to discuss DC comics with someone from my own country. I have already read thru the two-parter "whatever happened to the caped crusader" and also know about the Omega Sanction ... I just didn't want to mention themin this paticular discussion.
Yep...Ronnie is definitely the way to go. Just thinking of all that Lodge money, the possibility of spending the rest of my life doing absolutely nothing...no bosses, no tax returns,unlimited ps2/ps3/xbox/wii games, a whole cellar full of movie dvd's(Blu Rays!!), my own personal Hummer,heck even my own personal multiplex man! The list is endless. Betty at best would be a wonderful mistress, preferably married to someone else, who's preferably impotent as well. I might even consider giving Big Moose a job and having him around just so that i could have a crack at Midge. Yes Midge, that was my original fantasy girl, way back then.... But to cut back to the chase again, way to go Archie. The choise is clearly one most sensible(and mature) guys would make. There's no love involved, maybe a bit of lust, and plenty of cash...

Dear Amey. If you have not grown up reading Archies and Veronica's shoe string bikinis and other Riverdale hotties, you have no idea what you have missed. If you do not find these bikini-clad teenaged girls "entertaining" or "knowledgeable", then I sincerely pity your taste buds. You really don't know what you are missing. Please go get an urgent bound volume of Archie comics (our childhood and adolescent fantasies).
