Very imp issue
by Shawn on May 30, 2009 12:27 PM  | Hide replies

Wow,
Very important topic to be discussed and I wonder how much more are yet to come.
Very much understandable life has to be balanced and this is a part of it - but seeing so many ppl discuss this; thats what makes it more comic

I got ur point and I did mention that in life this is a part!
But mentioning that having passion for Archies (a fictional character) makes life worthwhile - either you are an ardent fan of Archie very enthusiastically wrote that or Archies made you oblivious to lot of things that makes life worthwhile!

another funny thing, we all fight against each other to prove a point for nothing
One more fun stuff, the article is a close-ended question with and answer and funny people give their opinion of who should marry whom as if the author is gonna ponder over their suggestions to put it down in the book.

Betty any day

for all those archie fans and others who have supported archie marrying Ronnie let me just say one thing there always seems to be this fascination for spoilt females that men have who prefer to wrap men around their fingers all i wanna say is it aint love dude i have read a lot of archie's issues and i keep seeing ronnie dumping archie time and time again for italian or french hunks and comes back to archie once she realises her folly only to dump him again!!!!! now if all those people who support archie and ronnie's so called union like this cant say much for them can we ? and what is wrong with being goody goody i mean if you cant look up to goody goody people who do u look up to spoilt people criminals , or perhaps u prefer terrorists ? and this notion that that goody goody girls cant be intresting well..... losers ........... mebbe the good girls have rightly havent considered u to be worthy ernough............ id prefer an nandita das or or kajol or rani to a bipasha anyday
Content should matter nor Fake Style or arrogance we confuse arrogance with a go getter attitude Thats wrong one can be ambitious without being spoilt and without being a so called bad girl .

Archie fans - hahahaha!
by Guest on May 29, 2009 05:31 PM  | Hide replies

Typical Archie fan then:
- Had a relative abroad or was friends with other Archie fans who had a relative abroad
- Was also a fan of Tintin
- Was made to dress up as a woman in the school play
- Got beaten up
- Had a collection of stupid stickers
- Had a water bottle with disney cartoons
- Probably had two allergies
- Had to wear glasses by grade 3
- Was well-versed with Cricket stats but could not hold a bat and catch/throw the ball
- Watched women's tennis for the tennis on doordarshan
- Never read Raj comics
- Bought Archies cards
-

Typical Archie fan now:
- Thinks that he can speak good english
- Gets nostalgic about Archie
- Would have staged a play on the riverdale theme in college but was shot down even by the girls
- Still has that relative abroad
- Is still well-versed with Cricket stats but still cannot bat to save his life or catch/throw the ball
- Read and watched Harry Potter
- Thinks of anything American as entertainment
- Gets beaten up
- Can't run
- Just got rimless glasses which he thinks are cool
- Complains that women tennis players have got too powerful
- Is a fan of English premier league but can't kick the football
- Gets totally smashed after half a bottle of Haywards 5000
- Tried smoking to fit in bu became a class idiot
- Is a butt of jokes from his Indian friends and the foreigners he thinks are friends don't care about him
- Wonders if he should have played Cricket or read Super Commando Dhruv/Doga

- read phantom, mandrake, flash gordon, bahadur
- read fauladi singh
- read lotpot (from 1960s and 70s, they were copies of tintin but even funnier)
- read tintin, but not asterix so much
- no glasses
- ran 4 marathons
- fan of both men and women tennis
- lot of american entertainment is good
- never read or watched harry potter, ok went to see one but slept soon after it started
- never had haywards 5000 but the ad was cool, more of a vodka person
- yeah dont like to play cricket but watch it (is not a sport enough to play, see all the fat people doing good in that?)
- dont like to watch football but play it (see any fat people here?)
- got beaten up sometimes when i was kid but also broke hand of one, in hindsight that was not so good

hey dude, u sound like a fan of raj comics & would be glad to know that I used to work for them not too long ago & have seen Super Commando Dhruv & Doga getting created right in front of me but even u'll agree that the quality is just not the same anymore but yea,it did make a surprisingly entertaining & gripping read at one point of time.

Man do they still have all the raj comics characters in print? I used to be a big fan of Raj comics as a kid (early 90s)and used to wait in the book rental library so that the guy who has rented it comes back to return. I am trying to remember all theose characters- Nagraj, SCD, Doga, Bhokal (not sure if Bhokal was Raj comic character).. Good ol' days.
