Did you guys know that mani had made abhishek wear just a mere loin cloth around his waist and made him climb mountains..for his upcoming movie "RAVAN".
Goes to say the kind of extent these crap directors would go with their actors.

That's true. Mani even shot a scene with Abhi in mere trunks for one movie I dont remember the name..the one which had rani mukherjee,It came before guru.
Even we ladies have moved ahead of our times. Wake up guys. Start making more competent movies. Instead of this RGV's Woh.. & all that. If RGV makes action film, then it wil be comedy for us. If RGV makes Comedy films, then we will CRY. If RGV makes movies on Relationships like the one starring Jia khan & Big B, then we will run away from the theater. CANT STAND such FOOLISH display of feelings.

Miss Divya Sharma, whatever you say or feel but RGV's movies are much better than Yash Chopra, Faraha Khan and Karan Johar movies.
We feel feverish hearing about these movies from Yash Chopra, Faraha Khan and Karan Johar.
Rann seems like well composed movie, don't try to disgrace it for the sake of mindless movies from Yash Chopra, Faraha Khan & KJ with mindless actor SRK.
Rest all the directors make music videos, all your Chopras and johars and what nots..
U want to see the movie and story, it is Ramgopal varma's film
I think Ramgopal Varma ki Aag was a historic movie which established the fact that Movies don;t run because it has great actors, it runs because it should have a story (the movie had AB, Mohanlal and Tabu)...it was a slap on the industry.
Who knew Urmila before Rangeela, Who knew Manoj Bajpai before Satya, WHo knew your star sons like Vivek and Fardeeen...
whenever u see any rGV movie, Just see the Camera and plot of the Movie..
Its just that we appreciate more of Hollywood movies even though it is Shit of direction and story..
He doesnot make movies for People, He makes it for himself. and he commmand a great profit on it. 75% of his movies gets more than what he invests..
Abut publiicity, HE never comes to the interview to promote , obviously he cannot stop people to write about it..It's their call.

Very well said. But the fact that the person made great movies once upon a time doesn't mean that we have to take crap from him now.

The kind of spectrum he covers is not a cup of any other director.. Say Yash Chopra: Only Love triangle, romantic stories KAran JOhar:Again a big set and thousand of dreams with Zero Reality
Sooraj Barjatya: A happy-go-lucky moview, everyone is good in this world
Anurag Kashyap: There is no world without alcohol and Galz and Gaaliz
Mahesh Bhat: You can make B grade movies with great music and wide variety of heroines...
But and with a Capital B, Only BR Chopra banner, RGV, and Mani ratnam have a taste of realism in the movies.
If their focus on the movie is never commercial success. Dil Se... was not a superhit but the story was original.
Even I accept everything is not great from RGV banner, but He has his own genre to make movies and let other people take it in the way they want it.
Have you ever heard of any justification or clarification from him for any controvesy..or whatever..
What a film maker. See the range of topics Ramu has covered. Bhoot and Kaun - Horror Rangeela - Comedy Sarkar and Satya - Crime thriller Sarkar Raj - Politics Road - Thriller Rann - Media based
This man is a genius and not a silly movie maker like Karan Johar, Chopras, Farah Khan etc etc etc.
But he will not have a wide following in our country full of brain less people.

what is Rann - Media based? thriller, drama? Man, don't confuse genre with theme of movie. And yes, "Range" of RGV was aptly shown in James and such movies which collectively can be put in the newly invented genre of "RGV ka Nisha prem"

Rangeela became Rangeel abecause of Aamir and Rehman. Replace the two, it woul dhave been another ho-hum 90s movie.
